Hi All,
Best of luck to anyone about to sign on phase 1.
Has anyone from phase 2 had any information about our dates yet?
We were over at the begining of March and actualy watched as cleaners were in our apartment moping the floors.
We have had notice from Parador that our apartment is completed and ready but say that the paper work is not .
We know of the problems phase 1 has suffered, we are hopeful for an early completion.(May 2007) would do nicely.
Our Daughter gets married mid June and is hoping for a honeymoon in our apartment

We have been informed that our apartment is ready but paperwork should take us to May at the earliest, letters from Gomendio may come out soon offering 3 dates but obviously check with solicitor (I personally would not rely on the agent) that everything is in order and like you guys May would be good after all we were told completion would be July when we bought back in April 2005 so the idea of it being ready early would be not far short of a miracle.

Had a load of info from Gomendio saying we can sign at the end of June for phase 2, need to read it all thouroughly to understand it though.

We are now the owners of our Apartment :-), snagging has been done , several bits of damage to be corrected this should be done int he next few weeks prior to our planned visit 11-17 April. Anyone got ideas about furnishing the Apartment?, we have looked at IKEA, any good or bad points? we have furnished an apartment (for rental market) in the UK totally from IKEA and have had no major problems, however its a different market we are catering for.

Well our lawyer is going to notary for 4th time on Tues!! The signing never happens and it is Gomendio which are holding things up. Three different notaries have told our lawyer that all the papers are in order but the builder is somehow shelving things by not turning up at agreed days and times and saying that our paperwork is lacking. We bought in 2004 were told it was completed for signing in Nov 2006 and here we are still without an apartment.
Our lawyer has dealt with another owner on El Rincon and their parking space has a pillar in the middle of it so they can't park - they have asked for 5000 E back and Gomendio agreed but 6 months on they still can't park their car and had no money. We are very very worried

You are not going to believe this but Gomendio cancelled again for today! The owner of Gomendio company has taken paternity leave (can you believe it!) his wife has had a baby so he now says we will sign on 10th - however the notary has told our lawyer that all these delays are due to the fact Gomendio has not got the appropriate licencens for the apartments and also that they have had permission to build over 1,000 more apartments in Playa Flamenca area but this to is delayed as they do not hold the right legal documents! We are watching this space with interest!

You must be so frustrated on these delays, however it will happen, the builder wants his money. The builder was given permission to build 1500 properties back in Feb, on the land opposite El Eincon, La Mosca (other side of N332), but 2 weeks ago it was referred back to council to revote again, as it was a split decision on voting, plus there were demonstrations by local homeowners at the local council office. However they voted again this week and it was passed. Not sure how the builder will sell 1500 more properties in this area? Was told he was struggling selling the planned apartments which are planned for the middle section. They have already started to clear the land.

We are very surprised to read your notice about 1500 apartments been built across the n332. It was our understanding that the builder Gomendio, was building a marina on the land between the road and the sea.Where has the info come from regarding these 1500 apartments.

My lawyer has also heard about the permission for these 1500 new apartments and said there was problems as Gomendio couldn't fulfil the criteria. She had also been told that several of the blue apartment at El Rincon are already up for sale again??? We are in the brown block - anyone any info on this info about these resales so soon?

The Marina is going to be built but not for a long time - if you look at www.costablancanews.com on past editions you will see the write ups. Since I have been in this area - 4 years - there has always been a sign on the roundabout showing directions to urbanisation on this sea side of the road. Fibby UK has a copy of the plans, which she emailed to me recently, I am sure she will pick up this thread and put the details on here. I am not surprised the builders told you about the marina, but not the 1500 planned properties. If you go along to the town hall at Playa Flamenca you can see the proposed plans.

Evostick, its not unusal for properties to go up for sale so soon, they are purchased off plan at a good price and once finished the owner sells them before even moving in. There are quite a few for sale in the white/blue buildings, but if you also look at other areas, its the same. My apartment - La Mirada - looks onto your building and since I have been there, 1 or more apartments are always up for sale.
Lets wait and see what happens about fulfilling the criteria! I wonder what the requirement is?

Just returned from staying at La Calma (blue and white apartments at Alameda Del Mar) the El Rincon site is all finished and we will all (as some are unfortunately experiencing from phase 1) now have to wait for the appropriate paperwork once the individual properties have been signed off.
Whilst there I took a phone call from Bennecke who are the promoter for the builder Gomendio and we were told that the earliest completion will be for the Turistico apartments which will be end of July at the earliest. I could not find out if this was one persons opinion or is actually the state of affairs so anyone who has a date from Gomendio for phase 2 might want to check this out.
The development of the sea side of the N332 (coast road) has been passed but will not be signed off until after the May elections and will depend on who is elected as one candidate for mayor is against the development so who knows, plus the Gomedio agent I saw reckons work will start on buildings in around 5 years whilst the Bennecke employee reckons 8 years, but the roads were being cleared and marked out whilst we were there (building in Spain without the appropriate permission, who would think).
I think it's a shame that most of us will get our keys later than we would like (bearing in mind properties are ready now) but the area is getting better, the promenade looks great, less scruffy wasteland and don't forget that marina, Spain it will be wonderful......... when it's finished.
Anyway I'm going to try and post some photos (Fibby none with me and my speedo's I promise),
