ML email

 Just recieved an email from ML explaining what happened regarding the ousting of level one president.

3 things stand out

2 individuals without the backing of the community or a vote of presidents voted out the number one and installed with the backing of ML one of themselves as number one. mmmmmmm demorcracy at its best

A statement was read out highlighting allegations made by a contractor that ML asked for a kick back for contract work. Not only was this ignored by ML and the 2 presidents they threaten the man reading it. He as a president representive and was highlighting an allegation made by a contractor not making it himself ... thats his job!!!!!!!! yet they threatened him with legal action.

this leads to number 3. If a contractor alledges that our administrator are corrupt and makes it known to the presidents who are meant to be running the resort then why was this not investigated. It seems to me that the new gang of 2 presidents that have taken over the whole resort with the backing of ML are now assisting in covering up the finances. It now really stinks

No detailed accounts still

No check on our administraors.

No democratic decsion making we now have a dictatorship.

Total appathy by the vast majority of residents who do not seem to care what is happening with their money.

A manufactured divide of the spanish and international residents resulting in the employee controling the employer

and all this happen when Phil T was out of the country at least the man cant be blamed for this one.

All this needs to be investigated , If its untrue the detailed accounts are all independantly audited and the allegation from CONTRACTORS not presidents are found to be untrue then carry on ML and we will have faith, but as long as a wall is built to stop all us residents knowing the truth when to stop all this would be so simple and the elected garden presidents are again consulted on resort management rather than being in the hands on 2 individuals then I will contiue to worry.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the contractor who made these allegations.

I have knowledge of this and will post when the time is right. 

Yet again some apathetical individuals sink their heads in the sand!!!

 Hmm, so it all come to light.  

If Mileniun asked this contractor for a 10% backhander then you can guess that they are probably doing it to them all, so this could be 10% of our budget or more than 300,000.  Nice little earner for them, which I guess we end up paying!

I think the very fact they're threatening legal action against someone already means it's probably not a good idea to repeat the allegation in the public forum, but that's up to you.

And I think it also means they refute it absolutely.

If the presidents made a statement in a presidents meeting then i guess they have evidence.  wot surpises me is that the Spanish presidents at the meeting seem to of simply ignored it!

By the way I'm not making any allegations just repeating wot Mileniun made public.

What going on every time anything that mentions ML you are on here shouting that they are the greatest company in the world and we should all support them regardless. you produce nothing on substance ever. If you are pretty sure that the contractor did not make the allegation then you have.

Spoken directly to the person with the evidence and he told you he made it all up?? I dont think so.

You attended the meeting and saw for yourself. that makes you either one of the two spanish presidents or you work for ML the email listed the attendants

ML how spent time showing you their defence and evidence that its not true. all in 24 hours since they sent email. you then must be a special person who has a very intertwine relationship with ML for them to do this for you and knowone else.

ML must have showen you the pages of detailed accounts that has been asked for by every one else but only you have had the priviledge of seeing... lucky you.

All I have said is it need investigating!!! If any employer finds allegation of wrong doing by an employee then it MUST be investigated. You would think ML would want to clear their name. instead they threatened the person who was only doing his job.

Every one asks for detailed accounts then produce and publish like nearly all other resorts why the secrecy are we all deemed not intellegent enough to understand?

You will see that my post is based on fact not usless drivell with no backup.

so can you next post read I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT ...... BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN....AND CAN PRODUCE  ETC

The burden of proof always lies with the accuser, not the accused. If you know they were involved in corrupt and illegal practices make then please make the evidence public for all to see. Then they won't have a leg to stand on and you will be congratulated.

Otherwise, I suggest you should be very careful what you say in a public forum. If you're going to openly accuse people of illegal activity on a public forum you have to be able to back that up.

If you continue to post falsely and do not read what written then its probably better you do lie down

Look at Lisinopril read the post prob read email and made a constructive observation thats how it is meant to work.

So please dont accuse me of something I have not done on a pubic forum and all can read what I wrote

I'm sorry to have to point this out but I, personally, don't see 'Cappielow' being as pro ML as a lot of others seem to.  I do, however, see a lot of others banging a drum in favour of PT.  I do also remember Cappielow saying he disagreed with the way the whole thing was handled by ML and that he had no bugbear with either party.  He, like many of us, are happy with the way ML are proceeding at present.  He, like many others, also had plenty of time for Phil who has always been helpful to me.

I will also say that I have heard scare stories against both parties.  (I will not put these onto a public forum) and from 'reliable' sources at both ends.  I think it's safe to say that we will probably never get to the bottom of every allegation but that we should all try not to fall out with each other as we need to work together closely on thisone to make our lovely resort as great as it can be.  If ML are up to no good then they will be found out, of that I have no doubt.

I empathise with Phil on the way this was handled but I really hope that now he can get back to enjoying the Spanish sunshine and be glad of the extra time he has to enjoy it. 

 

Thanks Arlelene, exectly how I feel too. This pro and anti Phil/ML nonsence is pathetic and more than a little tiresome. I've only met Phil once when I bought a TV box off him and I got on perfectly fine with him, I have absolutely no axe to grind with him whatsoever.

Now, if someone provides proof of illegal and corrupt practices by ML I'll be at the front of the queue demanding their immediate removal! Until such proof is made available however I take it a malicious gossip and tittle tattle started by people with vested interests. Like you (and I suspect most folk), all I want is a well run and maintained resort at a reasonable cost. I personally don't care who delivers that, what nationality they are, or how high they can pee up the wall. At the moment I think ML are doing a satisfactory job, and as long as that remains I'm happy for them to continue. If however standards drop or if they've proven to have acted illegally and corruptly, then that opinion will change.

I think most people take from that he/she believes their threat to take legal action against those accusing them of illegal activities was in fact further evidence of their guilt. If that what goes for 'proof' these days then I despair!

Cue the personal abuse from the 'Pro Phil Mafia'. :)

In a presidents meeting one of the presidents made a statement that another president had uncovered evidence that Mileniun were requesting 10% comissions on contract.  ( Wasn't phil out the country at that time, so again nowt to do with him? )

As I said, I assume that the presidents invloved have evidence, which of no doubt is now in the hands of lawyers.

I didn't say that the fact they denied it implied they were guiltly, simply pointed out that it's obvious that the would deny it, otherwise they wouldn't still be here.

You don't have to be or have been in the same situation as someone to empathise with them. No one, and I mean NO ONE has ALL the facts relating to both sides. Despite many claiming to have 'all' the facts. It is an impossibility unless you were with both PT and ML 24/7 over the last 4 years. That would be ALL the facts.

I am not making any comments for or against either party. This thread is becoming abusive and unpleasant thanks to a few who have 'all' the 'facts'. Signing off on this one but no doubt there will be some immature barb to follow.......wait for it.......

People often confuse the words empathy and sympathy. Empathy means ‘the ability to understand and share the feelings of another’ (as in both authors have the skill to make you feel empathy with their heroines), whereas sympathy means ‘feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else’s misfortune’ (as in they had great sympathy for the flood victims).

I speak from considerable experience as the President of an urbanisation who were in dire straights 3 years ago entirely due to a similar situation that you face.

You need to take control of Condado from the Administrator, he works for you, you pay him handsomely for that task but clearly that is not enough for them they have taken control of not only the urbanisation but it also appears the owners.

They have created friction with their totally unprofessional behaviour and have got away with it, that is the calculated risk they took and it was successful it seems. If you allow that success to continue you will pay dearly in many ways, the President or Presidents are the head of the community, the Administrator has a duty to do as the Community,  through it's elected Presidents, require of it.

Refusal is not an option unless of course they resign, seems ML are not inclined to do that anytime soon... must be a lucrative business looking after Condado.
