Circuit breakers

I recently lost my computer to a power surge. Lost all my pictures and hard drive was wiped and the computer worthless. I am lucky in that i have insurance but ill never get the pictures back and of course i lose my no claims and have to pay a surcharge.

We have a real problem on condado i have found out and these power surges are very frequent. People have lost tv,s microves and even ovens.

I have just had a circuit braker installed and i strongly advise everyone does the same after hearing many similar horror stories.

James one of the local electricians on site is prepared to put them in for you and he is very reasonable on price.

Sorry to hear you lost your computer.  We heard horror stories also so got James to fit breakers in May.  Good price and service.

Just wondering is it circuit breakers or surge protectors you got installed , ? I always thought that the electrical box in the apartments already had circuit breakers in them ,  if they are not circuit breakers in the electrical cabinet then what are they?

sorry meant surge protectors. im not a leccy - havent got a clue what the difference is lol.

surge protectors. Our leccy advised them when he put our air con in. Its weather out there, causes electrical storms, electrical surges and puts all your electrical equiptment out.
