 Hi Folks

I think that I have been having a senior moment over the past week

As you may have realised that in order to find prices of products from Indonesian company you had to add it to the cart.

You can come out of it & it does not register, however there were about three items where the price was not available & one of them, the Trojan sun bed was proving to be very popular

I email the company on the email address on the web site to no avail, I did it twice & then out of frustration telephoned but they evidently did not understand me & put the phone down

Arlene, bless her, sent me the correct email address & contacted Ali on my behalf. I emailed asking for a price list

When it arrived it only had a few items I had seen before & prices for a new range. This is where the senior moment kicked in

I emailed Ali again saying the details sent were incomplete.  Duh

During this time I received an email from someone advising me to look at another company that is Uk based

 I sent the details to a few of you just to test the water

Three of you said you were not interested & would leave it

The following morning (Indonesia is 7 hours in front of the UK) another email came through just the same as the first.  I only had a few minutes spare before they would be heading off home I emailed again. Ali emailed to say he would look at it tomorrow.

In  what must have been the early hours Ali emailed me again ( from  what I presume was his home computer as the email  address was different)  to say he knew what was wrong & he would explain by tomorrow

The reason I had thought that the price list was incomplete was because it only had the prices of the three on the web  & the new stuff because the other prices & ranges were, yes you’ve guessed it already available. STUPID STUPID STUPID JANET

So I will be emailing you the prices of the items on the web site including the new price list  that has the details of the missing three & the new range

If you are going to look at prices on the web you will find it is in US dollars.

Don’t panic, go into Google currency calculator. You will find the Uk price is much better

As I mentioned some of you will have details of the UK company but though I have been assured that they have never had any complaints, in the present economic state of the world they would be foolish to say any different. We personally believe that though it means I have more to do sorting out container size or sizes & shipping I believe our money is better spent on Polly peel than the normal rattan

I have a great deal of emailing to do this evening which concidering the numbers will probably take me into the early mornings

& i do have to watch Big Brother (sad I know but there you go. Rylan to win !!!

Jan, I love you more and more every day! But not as much as Ham! Can't believe you are a fellow big brother addict! Rylan all the way!

Wow Darren, I just hope Jan isn't too upset that you love Ham more than you do her, and that she has a rival for his heart. Keep us posted on the outcome.

Good for you by the way, takes a brave man to 'out' himself so publicly. ;)

Jan is dealing with the same supplier that I used. They have been trading for 15 years and they were straight up with me and I got the stuff as ordered and paid for. I also contacted the uk Indonesian embassy who ran a check on the co for me before I parted with any cash so I was reassured by this. I do have to say that they seem to operate on a very 'manana' basis and it took me many,many,many hours of emailing, phoning and paperwork before I got to the finish line. It was utterly frustrating most of the time but I got there in the end. Bear with Jan, and be thankful that you don't have to do this horrendous amount of legwork yourself to reap the rewards. As I said before, fill your boots as the stuff really is that nice and since you are buying straight from the manufacturer then you are getting the absolute cheapest price possible.

Hi Jan

I've not ordered anything because I have enough furniture in our apartment already but can I say that by reading your posts you have worked really hard on this order and you are trying to save people money and order good quality furniture for no glory or financial gain, and I find it hard to believe that someone has criticised you.

You have been posting for years on EOS and I know that you almost quit postings a few weeks ago so please continue as you are a breath of fresh air, fortunately there are only a few posters that try to ruin this site but that can be enough to damage it. I don't mind someone having a negative comment if it is justified or a bit of banter, but to say nasty or childish comments is pathetic.

Please continue with your postings Hamibabe as I do like to read about your exploits with the barbeque and what Ham has been up to, sorry I will probably not have the chance to say hello when you are over but I've met Lynn a few times who is lovely so I'm sure that we'll meet up some time.

All I can say is Jan I so want to meet up with you in the very near future as both myself and my wife have learnt and taken a lot from your comments and advice. You always come over warm and remain positive and it's because of people like yourself why we decided to purchase in Condado.
So THANK YOU again Jan and of course the silent Ham!

And thank you too for your kind words.
Alas I purchased only a few months back so am still somewhat a newbie. However I have been fortunate enough to be there every month for at least a long weekend without fail over the past few months and will be there again next weekend along with another week in February.
I guess I'm like a lot of folk on this forum who like Condado for what it is today whilst maybe having some small aspirations for what it might be tomorrow. Whatever happens I really don't mind. However in the interim I am surpassed with how facilities and events seem to go from strength to strength and more so for some of the like minded positive and caring folk like yourself who give Condado that little bit extra care and consideration.
