A2Z internet service provider still live?

Please advise anyone

Having not been over for a while we are unsure if the internet is still live from A2Z

when we purchased last year it was for 6 months has this been extended or removed

please advise

 I've emailed twice asking about this and asking what the price from Jan 1st would be, but had no reply.  

We are at CdA at the moment and as you can see the internet is still up and running. As we understand negotiations are still ongoing and so the service remains until that is decided. The rumour seems to be that everyone is paying for the service and thats why its so cheap at the moment but, naturally, there are people who don't want to pay for a service they don't use. Therefore not only is discussion ranging about price but also how it can be arranged for only those who want the service pay for it. They didnt get the required number of people taking up the service when this first came about, so it seems it was decided everyone should pay for it in order to get the internet on the resort. Obviously if only users were to pay in the future then its very likely the cost would have to rise as they needed several hundred users to keep the original price. However A2Z seem to have signed more people up in the interim if reading forums is anything to go by so there's definitley a need/desire to have the service. If I have any of these details incorrect please note I said 'the rumour is...'- I mention this because I originally thought only users were paying for the service and didn't understand why some people were against having A2Z.

I have no idea how this works with AZ2?

Pay all the owners a sum to them (how much?) and then you are connected to the Internet through a cable in the apartment ?

We have Wifi but you can have the traditional system

You buy the equipment from A2Z- they set it up and you pay (under 5 euro's per month at the moment)

Does anyone have an email address to A2Z that I can use to purchase a subscription?

 I have been informed by the Administration that the A2Z Contract is being reviewed (As is all Contracts) and the 5 x Level 2 Presidents will make a decision on whether to continue with A2Z for all services TV/Internet or Just TV?  

The Level 2 meet in the Middle of February and these 5 Presidents will make the decision.

My advice to those who want Internet is to wait until this decision has been made, then you should have a better idea of what you need to do, it would be silly to buy a modem until you are sure you can get use of it.

I am also informed that current service will remain untill End February.

Lets hope that the service remains, but I do know that if it does the cost will be more. how much I do not know, it was calculated but costs change.

Lets hope they do the sensible thing and keep the service going, even a slight increse woud not be to bad, the bad news would be if they pulled  the plug on the TV service. you would have a complex full of satalite dishes,  i have already priced my 1.4m dish up.

Please dont tel me you cant hae dishes, just have  look around site now.

Someone please tell me I am not reading this he way I think it reads, but I for one will be well annoyed if our UK TV is under threat here, and this in turn leads to a prolification of satelite dishes. Get bloody real you Spanish presidents. We are probably the only source of reliable income coming into your country right now and, for sure, certainly some time to come.

 Let's just see once things like this start happening and we end up losing our UK TV channels because those that do the voting are not adequately ballanced to speak for the (majority ? ) Brit's owners, if the decision to remove the last level one president is still consideded OK by certain British parties.

Do none of the Bars or restaurants offer free WiFi? Could be a good way of generating extra business?

Dont think any of the services in Al kasar do free wi-fi but if so I stand corrected.

I'm pretty sure they charge a daily rate for wi-fi in both the Clover and the Condado Club, I think last time we were over it was about 3 euros.

Even better! Now I just have to buy either an ipad or laptop!
