IBI Payment

I have just realised that I have not paid my IBI for 2012.  I'm sure that snce 2008/2009 this has been taken automatically by DD (or equivalent) by Manliva Town Hall.  However, for some reason they did not take payment this time and I have also received an interest charge of around another 50 euros for late payment.  Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know if you can pay the IBI withoput turning up in person, maybe by phone or online.

The penalties are percentage based and increase the longer the delay. Even if it is their fault you have no chance of recovering the penalty.

Payments can be made online using the account details at the foot of the IBI demand and I always send the office a copy of the bank's transfer or confirmation receipt.
