Anyone looking to visit the ENDESA office in Estepona opposite the McDonalds should be aware that it has closed down.
Endesa have helpfully posted the addresses of two alternative offices in the window. I say helpfully, because it was amazing that they provided anything at all - but a map showing the new office locations would have been the business....!
The first is in Estepona and is allegedly near the Carrefour Express but an Irish lady I met outside the old office said that her husband had been up and down the street they claimed that it was in and could still not find it.
With that in mind we went in search of the second alternative which was in San Pedro de Alcantara. After searching for half an hour we asked to very nice ladies who worked with the local cleansing department. They let us follow their pick-up truck round the whole city and we eventually came to the Endesa office.
Of course it was closed, but they had thoughtfully provided a nice bar next door where we waited and enjoyed the free tapas.
For information, they are closed between 1.00pm and 3.00pm. The street they are located in is close to the big sports stadium which is the best landmark. If heading from Estepona direction, go through the new San Pedro Tunnel before exiting.
Ironically, after our marathon search and tapas sampling Endesa could STILL not print out a bill [Factura] with a bar-code on it so that we could pay in a bank or post-office - we were told we could only download it online, but of course we had left our log-in details in the UK....!
Anyone would think that a sensible company [Hah!] would want to take your money - but no! - they make it as difficult as possible for you to pay them.
In sharp contrast is the Aquagest office in Manilva where the people are SO helpful and you can pay right away with a UK credit-card. Hats off to them!
