Car ITV

I recently purchased a car locally.

It is due ITV in Jan 2014.

Question :

I am not out in Spain during January 2014, so can I take the car to the ITV early ?( end Oct or early Nov 2013)

In the UK you can take a car to MOT several weeks before the actual due date..

Does this system exist in Spain?

 If so, what is the max number of days an ITV can be done before its due date?

Where is the nearest centre for ITV near Terrazas ? Is it best to get a local garage to take the car to ITV

I am sure you can do the ITV earlier than needed - although you do "lose" the month or two of valdity afterwards. I recently did mine a month or so too late with no problem. You just turn up at the ITV station with the 2 registration documents and proof of paid insurance. The nearest ITV is in San Pedro del Pinotar - off the road from Dos Mares up to San Pedro centre. You can certainly do it yourself although they dont speak much english. The ITV is valid for 2 years.It costs 52 Euro.
