Hi

Help please.

I am trying very hard to complete a 210 tax return on line but have experienced some difficulties.

The first is when I tried to apply for an Identification code (NIF) for my wife.  I followed the instructions on the 210 form page; this took me to another site, whereby I completed the requested information, except for a code number, which at the time I did not have.

On pressing continue, I received a message that the code number had been sent to my email address and I should use this code to complete the NIF request form.

I inserted the code number into the code box and pressed continue; only to find an error message appear on screen.  I was unable to move beyond this point.

Now when I start from scratch to input my wife’s information I am told that this person has already made an application and as a result I am not able to complete her 210 form without a NIF number.

I had better luck with my on form, only to stall at box 21.   At this point you are asked to insert the appropriate tax percentage that applies to 210 tax payers, which I believe to be 24.75%.  Unfortunately when I try to continue I receive an error message telling me that this percentage is incorrect.

I have found the whole process to be somewhat frustrating.  Firstly can anyone help with any of the above and secondly can I still complete the old 210 form by hand and pay at the bank?

INNES

Thanks for that pommers.  Not quite the answer I was hoping for though.

I have two properties and up until now have had no problem filing my returns manually and from what you say, I have saved about 1000€ over the last few years.  That can’t be bad.

Once I have mastered the system, I could do your return for 60€ smiley

My husband has already done the 210 forms for us both ready to hand into bank as he did last year.
I understand if you own more than one property you have to employ a fiscal rep to do these for you.
