Hi All
Have heard form our Agents the R6 is very near to completion, mid May but take it with a pinch of salt at the moment.
Anyway the question is can any of you other 'Communities' offer me some idea as to how much we can expect to pay for a gardener/maintenance person for the year.
Thanks
Tintin

Hi TinTin,
Our communal areas (R3) are maintained as part of the annual Community costs we set up at our inaugural meeting once the Parcela was completed (June 06). We pay 450 euros per annum for all maintenance, pool etc but this may vary from area to area depending on the split of villas / apartments and also the number of actual occupied properties. The price also includes the cost of our personal garden maintenance (we have a ground floor apartment)
I hope this helps
Richard

The builders appoint a management company for you to set it all up and sort the legal side of it out. The cost of which is absorbed into the annual community budget for your area. You should receive notification either by letter or e-mail of whn this will happen which will include an invite to the inaugural meeting where you elect a president etc.
Security is extra as per previous messages posted - how much I'm not sure!
Hope this helps
Richard

Just a word about the alarm security. The company rep visits very soon after you have bought and moved in, and switches on/ commissions the system [if you choose to do so]. There is a set up cost of around 300 euros, then a monthly cost [direct debit] of a nominal 3 euros for the first 9 months or so. If you decide to continue, this monthly cost goes up to around 30 euros. Seems a good system - there is an 'assistance' button to summon police, fire or ambulance via a speakerphone on the control panel - very useful if you need emergency assistance without having to explain where you live, etc. I have been very pleased so far - I have been able to 'arm' the system remotely from the UK via telephone to the company when some visitors left it off. They have english speaking staff and are very easy to deal with. My alarm did go off accidentally once, and I was contacted straight away.
