Congratulations on winning your case..........it won't be long before you actually have the money in the bank. We were also with Fuster but ours was settled out of court, however, the money still has to come from the bank to the solicitor so I can't see time scales being much different. We had no idea we had been awarded our money back until I chased it up on the 16th Nov and was told "congratulations".........after several enquiring emails and phone calls as to where the money was, we eventually rec'd it on Christmas Eve with the promise of a full breakdown of costs to follow which we still haven't rec'd. So to answer your question in our case nearly 6 weeks but we don't know how long before I chased it up that the agreement was made.

I have just read this article with great interest. We put our deposit on a house in 2006, took the builder/contractor to court and finally won our case in 2010. Struggled for 2 years trying to get the money back from banks and builders etc until finally they went bust in 2012. We embarked on a new case in summer 2014 against the bank (now Santander) and our case comes up in November 2015. We read all the new cases that appear on EOS and hope that things are finally improving and hope that our case will be won at the first stage and not have to go to appeal and High Court appeal. I wish all those fighting to get their money back every luck in the world. It is not enough to say you won your case, what we want to hear is - like one if the previous people on this thread - THAT THEY FINALLY GOT THEIR MONEY BACK. Good luck to you all.

Sorry I don't understand. Why would the solicitor need your NIE number, we have one but have not been asked for it ever in the last ten years, even when we won our first case against Procobar.

I think you need your NIE to buy a property, but what has that got to do with getting your money back. What is your situation, has your solicitor been to court to get your deposit back?

You cannot buy a property without an NIE number or to be correct you cannot complete at a Notary without producing an ORIGINAL copy
It is difficult to open a ban account without an NIE number and impossible to pay you a refund without one as this is a central government tax tracking number and they last a lot longet than 3 months, if fact if you give up a financial standing you should cancel your NIE
The lawyers will not refund if you don't have an NIE, legally they cannot

We have been able to secure a full refund for our clients that didn't have a bank guarantee but who lodged their money with Caja Murcia bank.
This is a very important step as some banks are now issuing full refunds, even if they never supplied a bank guarantee to the client that lodged money in an account.
Good news for many
PM me for more information.
