more than I user name

 Was having a chat via email with a friend about the loss of one of the threads. She says that some residents are known to have more than 1 user name and often have conversations with them selves. Often agreeing with a comment they have posted. Surely this is not the right way to go. This isnt the first time that I have been told this. How do they get away with it. I now know who they are as their names have been mentioned on more than one occasions. Stop hiding behind made up names. Only cowards do that    Jan

It won't be the first or last internet forum that suffers that problem. It's hard stop it if someone is that way inclined.

Real names is the best bet

What if we all agreed to only use facebook...where we all know who everyone is...EOS is a cesspit that draws you in!

I don't think Facebook is the answer, it's just as easy to abuse and is a generic platform that only serves itself. A good dedicated forum managed by people who have an interest in the community is what Condado needs I think.

Im sure someone has tried that but not much uptake... At least Facebook you know (hopefully) who you are talking to and its less vicious!!

But It's just as easy to hide behind an alternative username on Facebook and Ive belonged to groups where it's just as vicious.

The active community should take the opportunity to get behind the idea of its own forum to discuss community issues and to also build better friendships and know who our neighbours are.

I dont think Facebook is the answer. I personally dont have a facebook account and dont want one, I am sure I am not alone, so without EOS, I would have to find something more constructive to do with my time!

As for people with 2 usernames, It has always and will always happen. Think you just have to accept that. These people are quite easy to spot and its pretty obvious when someone is doing it.

My other username is "Hamibabe", I pretend to be from the Midlands and married to a guy called Ham, had you all fooled!
