How much roughly do you pay per month when you are NOT on site - please

Hi all,

Just wondering when back in uk how much you have to budget for all the basic things in spain at the resort on a average size 2 bed apartment ? obviously site fees around maybe 95 euros (ish) but are there standing charges for the amentities like water, gas, electricity, fee for a key holder, internet/phone (or do you cancel and reinstate per visit/holiday ?)  etc, etc just looking at the costs when not there. Also in buying around 52,000 euros how much on top realistically for all the fees and a middle range furniture pack.

Thinking of buying whilst the euro is so good but would like as much as the finance facts as possible before deciding for sure.

Hello Brian,

all the figures are approximate as per our online Sabbadell account.

we are in a 2 floor penthouse style so prices may be different to say someone on the ground with a garden.

community Fees                                                          248 € per quarter 

Electric                                                                         38€ per month

Water                                                                            52€ per quarter

internet etc a must with a 12 year old                           24€ per month

Sabadell charges for letting them have our money       24€ per quarter

Key holder charges                                                       140€ per year

Cant quite remember exact figures ref buying costs and furniture etc but I think we were about 12K€ on top of the buying price .

Think thats it ,don't think I have missed anything.

Hi Brian,

My annual costs for the last 2 years has been around 2500 Euros per year. This covers Elec, Water, Community Charge, Council Tax, Non residents tax, buildings insurance and bank acct maintenance fees. The apartment is in use for about 3 months of the year. Hope that helps.
