Hi we've just arrived back home after collecting the keys for our quad on R 5. Spent three nights at the Hotel Torre Joven, Sunday to Tuesday. Did the Notary on Wednesday and we were in our new house that afternoon. We had a British guy in on the first day giving us a quote for air con, I had just noticed a shady looking guy in a green track suite patrolling up and down the road on foot, and an other one in a silver hatchback driving past a couple of times we had gone upstairs with the air con man and stupidly left the front door open. You know the rest. Hand bag gone along with over 400 euro passports driving licence and mobile phone. We were not upstaires for more than 2 or 3 minutes. About half an hour later we found the handbag up the road in a plastic bag, minus the money and phone. A couple of nights later we came in after a night out and found the grill on the kitchen door had been forced off with a crow bar, fortunately for us a brave guy called Paul who lives in the house ajacent to us on the next row heard a noise, came outside and chased off what looked like three Moroccans , who piled into a black Golf and were off like excrement off a shovel. We have spoken with a couple of people who own property nearby (on Dream Hills 11) and it is well known that several breakin's have taken place. I am surprised that nobody seem's to have put anything on this message board about this.. Be warned, keep your front door shut, or on the built in latch. Keep your valuables on you. We had a burglar alarm fitted by a UK guy who very kindly came the same day and fitted it for 260 euro (if you pm us we will give you his number. We got it from John up the road from us ) . The same applies for two Ukrainian tilers called Vlad and Paul we have booked to do our garden tiles. They took us around several houses on Entre Golf and we spoke with some very satisfied customers. Their work looks top class, and at the right price. We have been told that these break 'ins will cease when everybody has moved in and the builders have gone. So please be warned I wish someone would have warned us. Please feel free to pm. Bernard and Irene Jeffries.
