Hi all,
We just completed our purchase of a 2 bed apartment which was a bank repo.
We are really excited about getting the place decked out and having our first holiday there.
I visited in July to choose which apartment we would buy and met a couple of owners who are very pleased with their purchases and the complex in general - this was great to hear.
We are in it for the long run so hopefully some of the developments talked about in the local area become a reality.
Cheers
Marcus

Hi, I am also interested in a repo but not sure of any arrears or defaults to one that may become part of the sale, as I have been told to be aware, did this apply to you or was it waved !.

When you but specifically a bank repro on Corvera the debts that are primarly the Entity, Community and IBI local rates are all discharged by the bank prio to completion however you need to contract your own lawyer who will be responsible for this
It is a simple process as they check with the adminsitrators who wil [provude a certifucate of debt for the community and Entity fees that will show the true status and same from the Town Hall and with a good lawyer it is a simple process
The other certificate is one form the banl showing that all mortgages have been discharged and the whole checking process happnes at the Notary

Just make sure you do get a certificate of debt from the Administrators as we on Roda have seen banks selling to new owners without discharging the Community and Entity fee debt.
Remember any debt, stays with the property and can be followed up if not settled.

Another good idea when you have purchased, even just for peace of mind, is to employ a good keyholder/property manager. For less than 30 euros per month they will keep an eye on your property, checking such things as no water ingress after a heavy storm etc.
I personally use Inspectahome and Roy is one of the best you will come across.

Well, we have been in our new apartment for just under a week, all good (even if we did have to boil pans for a bath the first couple of days! Gas now connected!)
The complex is looking good and we have been fortunate enough to be in a great sub-community (M28) other owners are very friendly and helpful.
Chris Dean (and Alan) from 'The Finishing Touch' have also helped us out no end!
Back here Feb half term, can't wait, looking forward to exploring more of the surrounding area.
