Any news on when the smaller pool in front of block 4 and the pool behind block 10 will be filled and functioning? And do we know yet when the lifeguard will be appointed for the large pool? I would like to think that he'll be there from, at least, 1st June until end September.
As the other pools don't require a lifeguard to be on duty, and as I understand the repairs are meant to have been carried out on the pool behind block 10, they should be filled and ready to use by now, I believe.
Anyone have any news on this??

I was there last week in April and my place overlooks the pool at block 4. It was filled and was being cleaned. the pool at block 3 was in use by some hardy souls...albeit at their own risk.
I am there again last week in May so hope its all functioning.

Great news that the pools are finally up and running. Does anyone know if there have been any developments around supplying sunbeds for the pool areas as promised some time ago? As the better weather seems to have arrived it would be a luxury not to have to carry beds up and down!

Just been talking to my wife about pools because I was trying to work out where the pool will be in the unfinished area. She tells me if you look to the right just as you come in the entrance there is a pool shaped hole that does not look like a building. I have never seen it I a too busy watching the road on the way in !!!!

That's the 4th pool in the village its between blocks 15 16 and 17.
Some success to report. I know some of us have asked and requested loungers for the pool area. Well what do you know there are aboutt 8 loungers around the big pool outside block 3. Just going to be German and throw my towel on one.

On my last visit I noticed that there were gates with locks on the fencing around the pools at the bottom of the site and the other "completed" pool between blocks 10 and 12. Does anyone know if these gates are ever locked and whether we need a key to access the pools. if so, how do we get hold of a key?

As at 15th May the big pool next to block 3 was definitely open, but as the lifeguard is not yet present you swim at your own risk. The gates at the very far end of the cascade and in the middle of the two pools are both locked so you need to use the entrance next to block 3 (by the satellite dishes)
There were about 30 loungers still in wrapping on Wednesday morning (16th), but by midday only eight had been unwrapped and placed around the pool. The others had disappeared, maybe to be used at the other pools.
The weather last week was glorious, but since my return it has clouded over somewhat. My wife reports that today the temp is in the upper 60's lower 70's.

Hi all. Just back from DV, the place is progressing very well since I was there 4 weeks ago. Both bottom pools open. 8 sun loungers around pool at the mo, and looking good, they took them away to be marked. Middle pool also looked ready but was locked. Pond by middle pool not yet opperational. Top pool also nearly half complete, steel structure and concrete done! DV as a whole is really starting to come together. Have allready had friends stay there. They love it... Regards Andy :-)

The gates are now open at the bottom pools. Both pools are being used. I believe on june 1st the lifequard will start work, the toilet block will be open and the remaining sun longers will appear. No sign of any umbrellas for shade though.

Just got back from DV and I met with Patrick Boland of this forum and we played at La Duquesa. We had a great time and both of us would like to meet with others to play. What we thought would be a good idea is a place somehwere on this forum where all those who play or want to play golf just post dates when they are over and others can decide to get in contact and play...a sort of DV golf society. Suppose we need a new thread for Golf.

Just returned from DV on the 4th June and as yet there are still only 7 loungers aroudn the bottom pools and none at the one near block 10. There are no life guards / toilets open and the block 10 pool has a no swimming sign but lots of people are now using it.
The place is littered with rubbish I notice and I must admit I left a bag by the basuras at the entrance because I found them locked when I took mine there. When we left there were lots of bags and many cardboard boxes outside of apt blocks.
