Mains gas cut off Phase 3

After speaking to someone on Roda yesterday, they tell me that the gas supply has been cut off when they came over.

They havent visited for two years but now wish to visit on a regular basis, with a possibility to retire/  live here.

Does anyone know the latest update on this subject for the rest of us currently with a gas supply.

Please note, they are up to date with all the fees etc.

Does anyone have any information on what to do or who to contact please, after not being onsite for two years they are a little raw with whats going on.

I do recall this being mentioned someware in a Resortalia email but cant find it.

You would need to contact your gas supplier directly.

They should only cut gas supply IF 

1. Bills are not paid up to date.

2. Gas appliances have not had their 5 year check as per rules. A note will gave been left in your apartment to allow access to check. Contact gas company.

Always a good idea to have an agent or key holder to check on your property, in case of leaks, power cuts or security.

Resortalia did post a warning note some time ago on one of their weekly reports but not really their responsibility.

PS if owners have not visited for some time and have local bank accounts, they should also check they have completed latest proof of identity forms to comply with EU regulations and ensure account is still active and paying bills.

i had  probem a couple of years ago when a payment was missed due to cash flow issues with the bank.

Three or more subsequent bills were paid, I didn't get a notice from the company that a payment had been missed but they still cut me off!

So it doesn't matter if you pay your bills for months after the missed payment, they could have re-presented it the following day or notified me but no, cut the gas off just to be awkward.

I changed my supplier so that everything is on line now.
