I read the minutes of the meeting with Ammex and agree that the siting of bins outside Block 3 is inappropriate.  A suggestion was made to site them on the piece of ground adjoining Majestic - that is beside Block 5 therefore not a good idea.   Really, the ideal place for Phase 1 bins would be where Interlaken have their site office.  I believe this will be where our commercial centre is located therefore there should be ample room and it is far enough away from anybody's apartment.

the proposed site was onthe border some way from block 5  and not directly opposite or next too and the proposal is  for screening as well. This would not be beside block 5 but at the edge of the site.

We need to ensure that the commerical centre is designed with underground (inground ) rubbish collection which would solve the problem.

However the current thoughts are the rubbish should be sited so that no one directly looks over them just metres from the terrace as currently exists. It was felt that onthe border was a possible site.!!

Blocks 28 & 29 already suffer from over 28 contractor cars and large lorries at times  parking directly opposite terrace areas as well as the unsighlty offices and contractors rubbish and porta loos , I think they have enough to contend with directly in front of the blocks.

Outside med lux homes office would be good !!!!

I agree with brutus as we have an apartment in block 29 we have to endure contractors from early morning 6.30 am on wards until late at night, shouting cars etc.  If the bin area is underground this would not be a problem- the commerical site is the last phase (this is my understanding) and therefore will take approx 2 years to complete, also the contractors would use these bins, so they will quickly become overfull causing other problems

Hello everyone.

Just had a phone call from John Jones to say that the bins had miraculously moved from in front of the apartment to by the roundabout at the end of the road. Hurray!  Is this then the start of some kind of action from the group Ammex at last? I certainly hope so. Weather by the way is 30 degrees so I'm now feeling a little cheated after our visit at Easter when it was so cold and wet. Ah well, we'll have to book another flight out soon to get some of that lovely sunshine and to see the cleared sight in front of our balcony. (Hope they don't move them back before I get chance)
