We have recently returned from a visit to Marina D‘or and have found out details of the maintenance. We had not been given any information about this so it may be useful to those owners in a similar situation.
 
Maintenance is organised by SERVICOM.
Pilar is the person to contact. She appears efficient and speaks good English.

A meeting was held in May 2006 at which 29 owners attended.
A president was elected   Heine in Apartment 3
2 other officers were also elected
D Manuel Alegre Ripolles   Apt 100
D Jesus Sanchez Fernandez   Apt 201
 
The costs for the years maintenance was agreed and for most of us this is 537 euros a year, payable quarterly (134.25 euros a quarter) – unless you have a large apartment.
A bank account was set up
I have details of this.
I also have a copy of the minutes.
 
The pool will be open from 1st June – 30th September
Times 10.00 – 21.00
It was being cleaned while we were there.
Various other rules were discussed.
 
There is a contact person for any problems with the building and maintenance.
He is Edgar - tel 629807737
He is usually available from 900 – 14.00. In the summer (1st June – 30th Sept) he is also available from 18.00 – 21.00
He does not speak English – but Pilar at Servicom is happy to translate.
 
Servicom did not have any of our contact details – so you might need to contact them if you have not received any info about the maintenance

I completed on the purchase of my spartment in July 2006 but I don't remember any details of a maintenance agreement. Does every owner in Vistamar 3 pay this? If this is the case how does Servicom collect the fees without our details? Just wondering why Mike had to go to Marina D'Or to find this out surely we should of all been told when we signed.

Hi

we also completed on an apartment in Vistamar III in Feb 06 and have been paying the quarterly maintenance since May last year.  We were given the forms to fill in by Macanthony who we purchased through.  We have now rented our apartment out for 11 months to help pay the mortgage and hopefully keep it safer - our TV was stolen recently with no sign of a break in, so someone must have used one of the keys kept by Marina D'or to get in.  Does anyone know about paying tax on rental income? I have heard that it is as much as 25% - does anyone know if the tax authorities contact you direct or is it your own responsibility to declare?  Regards, Barbara

Did you check that it wasn't taken by maintenance? Mine was removed from my apartment because I reported that the DVD wasn't working when the snagging list was done. I wasn't told it was taken for repair until I asked Macanthony Aftersales I think it is still missing now.

Who have you got your rental agreement with? I am still waiting for one after  9 months!
