Has anyone had problems completing on DH2 with a mortgage?

I have had a moving in letter from my agents, set the ball rolling with all parties, booked flights etc.

I keep seeing mentions on forums about problems with a lack of a licence of habitation being issued, saying that the lack of this only affects those with a mortgage. 

 

We are having a spanish mortgage, masa are arranging it for us with banco de valencia. Our apartment was due to be ready in Jan and they have contacted us the end of last week to say its all ready for completion we thought that with big urbanisations like ours the licence of habitation wasn`t so important, you recieve it eventually, its only with single dwellings or smaller urbs you be wise to wait.  Might be completly wrong though! I dont think your agents would get the ball rolling if you had to wait for the licence, hope not anyway cos we are in the same position!

I am still waiting for completion with a mortgage. It is my lawyers, independent of MASA who will not advise completing without the habitation license. As they have power of attorney for my friend who is a joint owner. I have been told that the town hall turned the habitation license down on their first visit due to some small defects (not specified). It is hoped that it will not be long now.

Completed on top floor appartment in R4 last week with no problems!

Snagging list not too extensive, i was actually impressed with the overall finish considering other peoples bad experiences i have read on this forum.

Boiler had a small leak (quickly fixed by onsite plumber) Also had a waste water back up problem caused by a builders rubble blockage at ground level (and again quickly remedied by onsite plumber)

Let down by white goods suppliers, they delivered all but the fridge so no ice cold beers to celebrate yet....
