Just to let everyone know that we have just had an email from Sandra at GV&A that the First Occupancy Licence has been granted to Aifos. We have also received copies of the licence.

OH MY GOD!!!! Thought this was never going to happen! We got our letter today too.  So excited, it's been a long old time, and things didn't exactly end up as planned, but really excited anyway!

wow!!!!!.........at last eh'

as i have reported many times, due to huge breaches of contract, (not even given the apartment in our contract!!!)  not connected with the LFO situation, we are fighting for our deposit back, but i realise what a concern no LFO has been for those of you who have completed, and would just like to wish you all the best, heaven knows you deserve after all this time!

Hi Goodstitch,

Thanks for the kind words, I know from seeing you on the Estepona thread that you have suffered a long and stressful journey with OVP. I hope you and all others fighting to get your money back get the issue resolved soon. We're not feeling smug that we have the LFO, just relieved as for many years we thought we had lost our money. Good luck with the money, and new development,

Jo

Hi Jo

no problem about the 'smug' thing, and thanks for your support. We all did what we thought was for the best, and i think we have all been treated very badly by the agents and developers, so it's good to read that some can now hopefully move forward and enjoy the place more with the right paperwork in place. Others like us, still have a long battle on their hands, but hopefully we can all support each other, after all, long ago in 2002 (for us) on our inspection trips we all set out on the same path, in our particular case it just went very wrong!

All the best.

Great news about the LFO but this only the beginning. We as residents of Angel must now ensure that we ALL pay the community charge that is levied against each apartment.  The amount you pay each month depends on the m2 of each apartment. Payment commenced 1 January 2007 details of which can be obtained from the site office in block 1. For those who have not contributed to date please beware that the monies owed is debited to the apartment and if not paid could well lead to court action for payment . Also any residents who have not paid this charge will not to able to attend or vote at the next  AGM which is due end of May / beginning of June.

The community charge pays for maintenance of the site, pool cleaning, gardening and general up keep of the development. So far this year very little has been achieved due to lack of funds and the development is looking rather sad.

As I said this is only the beginning so please ensure you community charge is up to date.

Now we have the licence has anyone got a 'ballpark' figure of how much we are going to have pay per month to the town hall when we have been connnected to the main power supplies, I suppose it will be the same as the rest of the Miraflores area?

It will be good to get rid of the hanging power cables..............    and the cars that park round the pool area!

Hi Miko,

As somone who parks around the swimming pool, i absolutley agree it doesn't look nice, our problem is we don't have a parking space, on another thread i've asked if anyone can rent us one, but no replies as yet. We have looked into buying a space, but it was huge amounts of money ( can't remember how much exactly, but there are some for sale on the Miraflores web site for 19000 euro's!)

We would really rather not park around the pool, but without a parking space we don't know where else to park

Jo

When they  start closing  the gates at the top of the drive, only people with car parking spaces will get access, so in theory they should use their allocated space. But I know what you mean the price for the spaces is silly money.
