I have just been contacted by Rosa Escuadra of AEA to advise all residents I know , and i suppose that means those on this forum, that she wishes to call an AGM as soon as convenient for most of thye residents . She has asked me to canvas opinion about when the best date would be, the notice period required I am not sure. I agreed to act as a conduit back to Rosa about dates which would suit most of us.

Can you email or pm me back with dates in June and July when you could possibly attend the AGM. I will then put together a spreadsheet together and we can then decide.

Also she would like to meet any of us who are out there next week to discuss the AGM process.

If anybody has any other suggestions feel free to advise.

John, not wanting to sound dense, but shouldn't AEA be gathering this information from all residents - they do have all relevant contact details of those who have completed?  They could quite easily email/mail all owners and ask for dates in July/August that may be appropriate and put that information together themselves.  Personally, I think they're being a bit cheeky asking you to contact other owners.

Seems yet another incidence of AEA's lack of management and service skills!!  Like many others, the password we were given to access the owners area on their website doesn't work!!!  And am still awaiting details on why we were over-charged on our first quarterly payment.

I've already responded to you via PM re our dates, but shall be contacting AEA directly about this and about other matters still awaiting explanation from them!!

So what are you charging for your administrative services????  Don't make it too steep, as we're all paying for it, including you!!!  LOL

Jan I am hoping they are doing that too. I said as much when they rang me as I wasn't about to do their job for them. However I see is as a chance for those people I have had contact with having an opportunity to influence the date and for that I was willing to canvas opinion. Having never been involved before in anything such as this before I don't know how it is supposed to happen but I suspect that they would have just posted the date without any consulatation as they are at liberty to do that. One thing that is confusing me and I will find out when I meet them next week is why is AEA calling the meeting?? Have you thought about that? Shouldn't it be the president? Who knows and I wish I could say its fun finding out.but is isn't. My costs have got to remain confidential (joke) I wish.I might get a coffee and a biscut. I have also emailed you directly.

Actually, John, just after posting that I thought that I might actually read through the Horizontal Law that governs this.  I'm going to have a good read and see where we stand.  Does this mean RosYFalcon will have a representative there, as they still, obviously hold a major stake in the development.

It's all interesting and confusing at the same time!!

I have been the president of my community in Manilva for 4 years. I set the date of the AGM for the following year at the previous AGM and agree it with those present so they have a years notice - useful for booking flights etc.

Its my administrator who sends the notice out about a month before the meeting, just before they send it they email me to check it and return. I attach a presidents report covering the previous year. This was my idea and its proved useful to the members of the community. It also saves time at the AGM because I don't have to read it out.

Pitby,  you wrote
"the password we were given to access the owners area on their website doesn't work!!! "

I've been an legal owner for over three weeks now but not had any communication about an owners website's existence.  When and how are owners notified?

Also  I intend to come over around mid-July and it would be excellent to time it for an AGM. So hopefully the management company will notify each of us, but the notice period is getting shorter by the day.

It worked for me, I think each user has a unique U ID and PW send note to melisa@aea-administracion.com or rosaescuadra@aea-administracion.com and stating its the DV site of AEA.

Works for me too. Can't remeber how or why I got mine but it was a while ago. There isn't an awful lot on there last time I looked. Need to check again.

Have to say our ID and password do not work at all.  Have emailed Melisa asking for good access to be provided and also for all the documentation that we have requested (accounts, etc., never supplied), but they have still failed to get back to us.

Still have not heard anything directly from AEA regarding anything to do with our ownership or the community accounts, or anything to be precise.  Only thing I've received is our account for the first quarter - and that is after it was forwarded to us by our lawyer, and then a "statement" as such, which looked to set out the second quarter's payment due!!

Not impressed, to say the least!

We feel very isolated here, where we have to rely on remote communication to solve issues we may have.  I'm hoping that when we're out in the summer (for five weeks) that we might be able to resolve all the issues and proceed smoothly.  The AGM may be a way forward!!
