Perils of selling in the UK !

My brother is over in Spain and rg Gerens last wk to visit site.  Unfortunately like previous owners he was not allowed to visit our Apt but could visit showroom.  He already visited site in Oct so merely whated to visit to see if there was any progress.  Alas they went last Friday to visit showroom but the Guy on site didnt speak hardly any english and like Gerens stated was not allowed to see apartment although it is finished. 

Site remained the same apart from a small bit of vandalism, lawns  had been mowed, no new roads put in and no one working on site.  Asumption was site remained as previous with no further work carried out.  A bit disappointing really.

However I have had a email from my Solicitor to say they are meeting up with Gerens in a couple of weeks regarding cancellations and will keep us informed.

Good morning Karen thats not good news is it,Looks like we are still being left to dangle with not a iota of news from Gerens .It would seem that they are as bad as Arenal.Keep your spirits up everyone one day sooooooooooooon we will have an apartment to call our own,hopefully

Hi Karen.  Thank you for your recent report. 

When you say a small bit of vandalism, what exactly do you mean? What is the level of vandalism?  Vandalism has a tendency to escalate once it has begun!  It is not good news and I agree with you Lynn, we are just being left to hang on with no indication.  I firmly believe that some kind of announcement should have been issued.  Customer care is not top of the list of priorities it would seem.

Obviously, I wasnt long speaking to my Brother because he was still out in Spain.  He is returning this Friday and I will have a better update then.  I think he did say though there was extra security around the complex obviously to prevent this vandalism.   However it will be interesting to know what comes out of the next meeting with my Solicitors and Gerens.  Will let you know once I know something.
