Water Bills - How much should you really pay??

I regret to say that during the week we were in DV, we did not see any evidence of cleaning and the stairs to our apartment are covered with large bits of peeling paint.  There seems to be very large damp areas on the walls leading up the stairs, I hope it's not from a leaking water pipe!!  We also had a problem with our lift not working.  In fact, I think we've only used it twice in all the visits we've made as it is always broken.  The engineer arrived and spent several hours working on it on Friday 29th and by the next day it was 'out of order' again.  As far as I know there are only 2 apartments occupied in portal 35.

I hope that the lifts are under warranty in the same way that our apartment equipment is under warranty.
There AEA should be getting these teething problems resolved through the developer.
Lifts can be very expensive to run and maintain.

When we were out in May / June a lift in block 10 was broken for a day too. The cleaners did sweep up outide of the apts regularly though.

The lifts are maintained by community and is probably our biggest single cost. We might see that when we see the budget.
