We've also, it appears got about 4 or 5 listings as L F G too...

As if IT wasn't confusing enough...How many R6ers  are "in to" this website now?

Any news on the Security "war" between Securitas & ADT? I have a tale to tell about ADT...

We were at our place half term week...Weather was proper lousy...one day of sun!!!

Posted pix of R6 pool..not yet filled with H2O...and across from our solarium to the new Club House & Hotel..

Had a good walk on La Marina beach then ate at the resto on the beach...sardines n paella...also a couple of times at Alquibla in Algorfa & the tapas place on the new Square!

Both places are great!

After your recommendation we on here, we met up with Dave and Jess from Hayes in Spain, very nice people and professional, and like you will be using them for property management.

Was going to get a quote for grills from 'Mark', did he do all your windows, patio and front door? rough cost?

La Finca looked great, club house to be finished early 2008, but dont think we should hold our breath.

Weather was reasonable for our visit

Completed at last! Pablo who did the snagging list with us was extremely helpful, spotted things that we didn't see - nothing major at all and some were rectified within two days. Now comes the boring and expensive stuff like insurance, security and aircon.

Regarding aircon, I know there was a post about 18 months ago, has anyone out there had more recent experience with companies they would or wouldn't recommend and similarly with brands?

We got the usual info that 50% occupancy before community can be established and also before telephone line wil be installed. Asked Quara yesterday how close we are but they wouldn't say - only "we expect R6 community to be set up by summer this year" !!!!!

Re air con...We had  the "must have branded, must have invertors patter"...

Quotes started @ 1800E, down through 1500, 1100. Got 2 non invertor Johnsons fitted in the bedrooms for just over 900E in the end...But the guy's gone back to UK now...gives you an idea on price...

I find Mark (Grills Man - see other posts) seems to know good guys with no nonsense prices...give him a bell? Or not heard anything bad about the guys at the X roads in Algorfa, Padrenza? in terms of prices, service or after sales tweaking? Let us all know?

Found a good furniture place on road into Rojales, top market on a Thursday, by the way. The shop's run by Skando's, I think. Haca?

Despite a couple of oil filled rads over Crimble we were brass monkeys!!! Anyone sorted a gas or wood burner for their apartment? Advice please...

Hola everybody,

Just returned from Spain we have just posted some pics of what we feel are the problem areas with R6 as regards

security. We need to apply pressure on QUARA to deal with these issues because why should we have to pay out of our community fees to rectify these faults. We have had a English builder around to give a price on getting rid of the chippings around the pool area and possibly tilling. But this is plan B as we need to get as much sorted with QUARA as possible. Some of the residents are going to be out very soon including our President Sir Bill  to hopefully do a snagging list so we all need to help Bill to get a list sorted to assist him.

Confession time, having spent my best (or worst) years during the 80's, the decade of big shoulder pads and even bigger hair. For some reason I took my fashion sense from Haircut One Hundred and always had my jumper tucked inside my trousers, with a bit of a quiff of hair I looked a bit like Herges Tintin the cartoon character.............god do I feel better that I've got that off my chest!
