Hi everyone
Completion for us is now gaining momentum and we hope to complete within the next 7-10 days or so. Has anyone installed a timed watering system in the terrace flower beds and if so, where did you find the cheapest equipment please? We are trying to gauge when the best time will be to come over and understand furniture delivery will need a weeks notice, but I have heard somewhere that following completion it will take about 10 days for the electricity, water etc to be turned on, is this correct? Also we shall be purchasing tv, dvd etc and thoughts on the cheapest electrical shops in the area please.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Regards Mimmie

I installed a watering system in my flower bed and tubs....I brought mine over from UK as i bought it in B&Q!! it works ok and i know of 2 others the same. there is a difference that you need to be aware of as my UK version uses flexible pipe that is 7mm in diameter, and Spanish systems from Leroy Merlin are 10mm , so the fittings are not interchangable.
It does take about a week to get things on, but your lawyer can advise there as they will deal with the suppliers.
when do you intend to go over?

Lidl do water timers from time to time about £13 UK and 20 euros in Spain - very good value, Agro Jardin about 10 kms east of Estepona, do timers pipes and fittings, some are in kits so you save money.
Aviles Ortego builders merchants near Lidl Sabinillas do pipes and timers and Ferreteria Morales near Sabinillas main roundabout do watering stuff, the younger guy in there speaks English and is very good.

Can recomend the 10mm Spanish stuff Its available at most garden centres. Lidl did a timer for under 20 euros, otherwise its around 50 We chaneled ours into the walls, you can not see it is there. Fit it early on in your stay, not on the last day. You do not want major leaks while you are away....
