4 new dining chairs for sale

Hi Everyone,

It has certainly been quiet on here. Just to let you know we are off to Spain tomorrow...to Almoradi....to have a look at the new showhouse and sort out paperwork regarding our purchase. I am very excited ..but extremely nervous as well. Can't believe we are really going. I sure  living  there permanently like us.. My only concern. There are 144 apts in phase 3 & 4..  that's a big building to be alone in. So Long for now, Carol

Great to hear from you again. Yes we are off in the very early hours (4.30am) for a 7am flight. I am a nervous wreck. We have to deal with a lot of financial issues..and will definitely be committed to selling this house when we return. Plus having to complete in time for the apt. ..which terrifies me. I have  just found another forum regarding some other apts in Almoradi....Ignama?   And a lady on their has retired to one of the apts. as a permanent home. She is often alone in the building..and hears furniture moving and noises...but no people.  It is my worst fear. But at least tomorrow I can have a good look around..and get the chance to see the town in full. Almoradi certainly is loved by everyone. So I am over the moon with that. I have yet to find a single complaint. I cannot believe how much building and developing is being done. I never saw anything last time.Or had heard of the town. So I am really pleased that it is so popular. And the people buying LUZ apts..sure seem lovely. So we just have to hope some more people will make it their permanent home as well. I will definitely check the progress of phase 3.      btw.....we were originally going to have the top corner apt of phase 3...but it was due for completion in April. A bit too soon. So we opted for the top corner of phase 4..  Will let you know how things are next week.  So long for now.....Carol

What fantastic News...Wow...I cannot believe I never realised that you are also moving there permanently.  I  am so happy. I clearly mixed you with someone else who had said previoulsy in a reply to me..that their apt was for an investment.  I am so happy now.  Thanks so much for making my day. It is going to be a great life. I hope all goes brilliantly with your house sale. Fingers crossed. You will have to give me tips on how to sort all my rubbish out.  Cheers, Carol

I may bump into you as I am off on Sat for my midterm inspection, NIE no. etc. I am staying in Luz Phase 1 & 2. So we can give each other moral support.  We have purchased in Phase 3, the same as Tricia.  How will you be there for??  We come home on Thurs evening (27th).

Sorry I went off to pack and just got your message. We are off in the morning ...just for 3 days...returning sunday noon time. it would be great to meet. If I'd have know we were coming back to Spain so soon. (Only returned 3 weeks ago) I would have looked into renting an apt in phase 1 or 2. That is a fantastic idea..as it would have given me a chance to experience what it is like living there. We are only in the beginning stages of buying. I will have to learn from you and Tricia..how things work. We will be staying at Masa hotel this time...and they will take us to the apts. tomorrow to show us the way. We definitely want to come back on Saturday...  to see the market..and get a look at Almoradi in action. Would be great to meet you. Hope to see you soon, Carol

We are Back from Spain..

Tricia...just to let you know...I Sent a repy to your PM which first came through blank.. ..and then said having problems.. Don't know if you received it.. I gave  my Email address. Please contact me on there for a chat. 

Anyway...we had a  look around the showhouse..and Almoradi area on Thursday afternoon with the MASA rep..who insisted on taking us. He is a lovely man I might add..working very hard to make a living in what seems very difficult times. There clearly was a lot going on that day.   The showhouse looks lovely. We really liked the kitchen..And the bedrooms are a very reasonable size. It is a shame they have only one wardrobe..and no other storage at all. That is the only shortfall I found. The building work on phase 3 looks good. I am no good at describing buildings..or understanding. But the shape is there...all the outside structure. Walls etc. Window frames and door frames in. It looked like they were working in a kitchen on the apt next to the model. But we didn't get much time on Thursday. As we arrived late. Gustavo was working flat out solving a problem of some sort. But he stopped to graciously greet our family. We had our twin daughters along. he escorted us up to the rooftop of phase 2..so we got our first proper look at the view...which was lovely.  He also showed us the garage area..and how the lights and door works etc..

We came back on our own on Saturday..but it was horrendous weather. A storm hit on Friday evening...we were driving in it..and got literally pushed off the road by a huge lorry..that wouldn't get off our bumper..or his horn.  He just kept picking up speed and forcing us along. There was nowhere to stop or let him pass. Finally on a bend...  If not for a slip road..we would have been goners. It was pitch black and bucketing rain...when we were just carreered off the road. We were totally shaken. 

Sadly the rains carried on all through Saturday and Sunday till we left. It was torrential..but we weren't going to give up. We walked all through the market in Almoradi.   I should think it was half its' normal size..but we still enjoyed it tremendously. The church square is beautiful..and There are lots of shops. .It is a great town to live in. Met lots of fellow Brits.  Especially a couple from Daya Nueva..Who invited us back to their bungalow. We didn't take them up on it....as we had so little time. But we visited their town.....along with Dolores..Daya Vieja. All lovely places. The scenery is very nice. We also came back outside the LUZ apts. The office and showhouse were closed. We saw some reps from Vegaelx looking around outside as we approached..and they locked everything up. We talked to a man who owns 2 of the blue apts. just behind. He bought n 2004..and has just completed I believe.. He said the apts in yellow..(similar to our LUZ apt.). and just to the left of phase 2...a little behind phase 3....are now going to be completed. According to him...they have stood half finished for 2 years..and now the developers have acquired the money to carry on with the final phase. So that should be a big bonus to the area. The only other News...is from Gustavo..that phase 3 is being focused on full stop. They are eager to have it completed and fully sold. . So  that should be welcome news to all those awaiting their apt.in phase 3.

Hi Tricia,

The 2  PMs' you sent to me......both came via my Email address. I assume the PM I replied to you.... was also sent to your Email address.  It is confusing...I am not used to using these PMs' ..  . I  prefer Emails.  Regarding the Apts.....They were not painted...but were in brick on the outside. All the walls seemed in place.  With window and door frames in ..but not glass. No one was working on Saturday due to the weather..and I couldn't see much. My husband and I did walk into the empty shell of phase 4.  Seeing as no one was about.  Walking Along what will be the ground floor. Steps were in place leading down to the garage. It brought  us nearer to the outside of phase 3...where we could see a little of the shape of things. it looks really good. The size of the space in between the 2 buildings seemed smaller than that between phase 1 and 2. But it was hard to tell. This will be a Green communal area. Since the pool will be on the roof. Which will be a nice feature.

On Day 1.... Thursday..we were with the MASA rep as I said. After the showhouse... I started to look around the outside of the building...but a lady came up to talk with me.  She has a holiday apt in phase 1 or 2.  After 5 minutes chatting with her..I was called to leave in the car for the town. So I didn't get to look around the building that day. In July... we only saw the far end of the roof terrace..So I never noticed the mountain view. This time we went up from the other end. Entirely different all around. A lovely panorama.  Regarding us buying...If you recall...we had put a deposit on phase 4.. It is due for completion in a year. But I expect it will be delayed. Hi All

Just to let you know how we got on during our mid term visit.  We managed to - apply for NIE, activate bank account, arrange power of attorney and visit the furniture shop (even although Gustavo said it may not be Meubles Bahia, but I felt it was worthwhile to see the shop just incase I wish to upgrade).

We managed to get inside our own flat - it was really exciting.  Took loads pictures and a couple of video clips so we could show our children the flat and the town.  We also got shown the roof solarium - we felt the outside wall could have been slightly higher.

We must have covered every side street our side of the square. Met loads of friendly people in and around the bars. The owners of the Red Dragon were really nice and very informative. Pat & Graham, John & Pearl from Luz 1 &2 are really lovely too.

We told Gustavo that we never get any answers to our emails - he was really surprised, one phone call to his office and we eventually got our Vegaelx client password (which shows internal pictures of the flat).  We were apprehensive about having made such a big decision, but now know we have made the right one.

So good to hear from you...it all sounds fantastic. I am so happy for you. It must have been great to see your own apt.  Not long to wait now. Will you be living in Almoradi permanently.? It is a lovely town. .We said how nice it would be to have the sun for a couple days. Should have known better than to say that. It was bucketing down from Friday night onward. How did you get on in the rain? But we still walked around in it all day...and it was worth it..  We really enjoyed the market....and like yourselves met some lovely people. 

 Regarding the apts....We also thought the solarium walls were very low.  But  we were basing ours on the solarium in phase 1 and 2..which is what we viewed. We thought they might make phase 3 and 4 higher with the pool now located on the roof.   But It will look great  when it is all  finished. I think that you have made a good choice. And I am sure you will be very happy..   Before our visit in July..I had never heard of the town. .But since I am home..and researched on the PC... the net is full of web pages with all sorts of info on Almoradi.    I have yet to find anyone who doesn't like the town.....Its' many bars and restaurants.... or its' fellow residents. Can't get better than that!   btw.how was it staying in one of the apts in phase 1&2..That is a really good idea ...giving you a chance to get the feel for what it will be like..and how things operate. It was really good staying in Phase 1 & 2, it gave us our bearings and a good idea (as we walked up & down every street)  of where shops, cafes, bars etc where in relation to our apartment.  We arrived around 1.00pm on the Sat. so we just dumped the cases went for lunch in San Remo and by the time we left the rain was off (no we didn't sit there all night!! Ha Ha) .  We wandered around for a while and then back to the flat, had a nice meal in the chinese just off the square later that evening.

We will not be moving to Almoradi permanently, just for holidays for the time being - (our children are 15 and 11).

I'll bet you can't wait - it seemed like forever when we signed, last Nov till completeion - it has flown by and now we've only 5 months to go.  I will be over in May for a few days & will hopefully be staying in our own apartment, to get it ready for our main holiday in July.

Maybe you will be back over in May or July and we can meet up prior to your completion, if not I will take pictures for you.

Sounds like you had a brilliant stay in Almoradi. This was our first time to see the town..and despite the awful pouring rain we loved it.  Keep in touch..I will enjoy reading all the follow ups as your apt nears completion. .Look forward to seeing some photos.   I hope we will meet up sometime soon.
