In the plan, the proposed road (SG RV B1.3) will pass south of the residential properties in the direction East to West and will reduce the area of green belt land by 5,303 sq metres. It appears that the road is intended to run south of the properties, parallel to the N340 in order to connect them without traffic having to use the N340. The contours of the land in question are so steep and levels are so uneven that it would require massive earthworks which would spoil the landscape, would spoil the current aspect of adjacent properties and would impede movement from the dwellings to the greenbelt areas.
There are many buried high tension electricity cables in the area which would not bear the weight of the road and, furthermore, there is already in existence a much flatter track north of Urbanizacion La Reserva de Marbella which would be better suited to the objective.
The building of such a road would gravely affect the privacy of residents, would lead to much higher volumes of speeding traffic, creating noise, pollution and danger to residents, especially the young and old. Imagine the noise, dust, damage to local roads, this would be a mammoth undertaking and could last for years. Some of the lower lying properties could have their views of the sea and golf completely ruined. I for one have completed and returned the objection papers sent by the administration. Obviously they are against it.
(some of the text here is taken from the administrations email re: the objection) but it is factual.
