Hi Nick/Linda
The wall wasn't just painted, it was rendered I believe - it certainly looks that way anyway. I see the point about graffiti though.
I think we should consider some permanent (fixed) seating on the roof with, perhaps some tables and even barbecues. Plants would also be great! It's a lovely space, but at the moment it's a pain to drag chairs and shade up there and therefore it's not being used to its full potential.
My pet hate (and only gripe) are the washing lines that are springing up on the roof, tied between the vents. My issue is the danger aspect - when the lines aren't being used they are almost invisible and could certainly take your head off if you walked between the vents! I think we should perhaps consider making some dedicated washing line space on the roof - it's plenty big enough after all - and screening it off so we don't have to look at it. In the meantime, I think if anyone puts up a washing line they should make sure they take it down when they remove the washing.
I'll be upset if Antonio calls a meeting at short notice as owners might not be able to get over and just because we're absent doesn't mean we aren't interested. Does anyone have his e-mail address by the way as I want to contact him and only have a phone and fax number. Who has faxes at home these days?!?!?!?
We visited the two new restaurants on the main road by the way and both are pretty good although neither do a good job of albondigas and don't have patatas bravas on their tapas list! They are certainly very cheap and very friendly. I still reckon Trasgus does the best tapas though.
Cheers
Irene
