Another Telefonica Tale

We completed on the 15th October in Block 33. Having no do-it-yourself skills whatsoever I was delighted to find Dave Baxter.

Dave supplied and fitted our shower/bath screens and window locks. In addition he also fitted all of our light and bathroom fittings as well as pointing out a couple of snagging issues that we had missed ! Prices were reasonable and Dave always turned up when he said he would. He and his wife Anita also operate a key holding and cleaning service which I have only been too happy to take. We spent 2 weeks in the apartment after completion and were pleased with the finish and only a few snags now to be sorted out. The 3 serious problems air con, toilet overflow and electricity supply were rectified hastily and I must say that Maria in the after sales department was extremely helpfull.

Now we are back in England sure enough it's raining !!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only confirm what has been said about Dave & the work that he does.

Very reasonable prices & extremely helpful.

I think you will find that under the rules of the site this is acceptable.

Perhaps. I still cannot comment on Dave though. Only having met him once. He has not done any work for me as I do all my own.

Dave has an interesting take on Sky Dishes.

He says " There is no law in the land that can make me take mine down. Anyone who tries is trespassing!"

Like you say, he is very helpful, an has a lot of knowledge.

 

He is the President for Al Andalus Hills and therefore does have a lot of knowledge. He has also gone through the same that we are all doing at the moment. I can only speak as I find and Dave gave us lots of useful information - where to eat, where to shop, what snagging was needed. He also did a great job with all our fittings etc.

When you completed at the notary a document was signed relating to the erection of Satellite Dishes ,that is a legal document and can be enforced .Keymare have a great deal of experience in dealing with like situations and that is why such a clause was introduced,for the protection of the community.

I didn't complete at the Notary - I gave POA to my solicitor and no documents signed on my behalf have been forwarded to me .  I agree that we should abide by the rules of the Community and I intend to do so. I will not put up a satellite dish until a decision has been made by the Community.

I am commenting on comments made by someone against another person who I have found to be extremely helpful in what has been a stressful period.

When your solicitor signs on your behalf  that is just as legally binding. I respect  your stance and I will also wait for the decision of the community. I would also like to watch  programmes in English ,but I  do not want to see a sea of satellite dishes when enjoying dinner on my terrace.
          
I feel bewildered at the attitude of some ,who feel that it is fine to be anti -social and erect dishes ,but complain about other anti-social behaviour e.g playing football in the tennis courts at 12-30. We are not in the vicinity of a tennis court ,but I am able to understand the point of view of others and support them ,(as I stated previously I would have made my presance known to the Midnight kickers),it would be nice if they understood and respected feelings of the potential majority.. If  a group of persons played football out-side my house in the UK at midnight plus I would telephone the police( I believe that it is called disturbing the peace) ,and that is what should have happened that night

Just want to repeat the final paragraph of my posting on the dogs thread:

Finally, the community will be made up from different nationalities and all views must be heard and discussed. Proposals should be put forward and voted upon. Anyone who then disagrees with this democratic process and cannot abide by the rules, has the option to move to a development  more suited to their lifestyle. This observation is not directed at anyone, but is based upon my experience elsewhere.
