I also received the same email from Capital Financial Partners. I find it incredible that they are telling us about completion dates. Surely MRI should be doing that!!!!!!!!!!!!!  If it hadn't of been for this site or the email from CFP I wouldn't have known any different

Hi Tiamaria,

For NIE see the third post down, at present, on the Port Fino forum page,  or click on this link http://www.eyeonspain.com/Secure/MsgBrdsPosts.aspx?thread=3250&dev=P59&name=Porto%20Fino (if it doesnt appear as a link  copy and paste into your browser).

As for the property prices going up?   I'm afraid there are mixed signals, MRI are saying they have went up £50k plus, where the reality is that they have come down so the developer can shift them.  Not great news but  it will be a few years before Alimerimar comes in its own.   There are plans afoot for a 5 star hotel with casino if all things go well so its a wait and see game.    Read through the topics on this and you get back in the pic very quickly or feel free to ask away here.

I would believe Sam,  those Solicitors refused to do any work, they won't get me guarantee for the apartment just email the one for the whole place.  As for completion date also refuse to do any work, they won't pick up the phone just look at the contract they signed on our behalf.  Gits!!!

Just a mention on the property prices. This would all depend on when you actually bought your property. If you we're lucky enough to buy when this development was launched then the prices have defineatly soared. Its not realistic to just pull a figure of 50k out of the sky. There are a lot of factors involved, type of apartment, when it was purchased, location. A one bed unit could be bought at 120k when this development was launched.

Just received an email from MRI Aftersales (although I didn't sign up to Lifetime Aftersales) with the following statement about completion dates:

The developer will be completing on this development in stages. The estimated completion dates the Developer has provided are listed below. Once the building work is complete there will be a period of approximately 3 months to allow for the application of the relevant licences and insurance.

Blocks 1, 2 & 3 June 2008

Block 4 March 2008

Block 5 January 2008

Blocks 6 & 7 construction has finished

This does not seem to tally with what Capital Finance and Proindal have said unless the Capital Finance dates include the time taken to obtain licences?

Anyone got any more information or a different interpretation?

I have just had information from my lawyer in Spain that Proindal intend to send a "burofax" (official letter requesting completion) on the 1st April for block 6 at Porto Fino.  Completion then has to take place within two months of this date.

Contact me if you need somewhere to stay, have 2 bed apartment at Alta Entinas available.

Hi Tiamaria

The dates I have seen quoted by Capital Finance were on this forum, I didn't pay for membership. Got similar dates from Sam at Proindal when we last visited and also seen quotes from Sam on this forum. If you want any more information it is probably better to get it direct from Sam at Proindal. I'm always a bit suspicious of the information provided by MRI!

Hi Afletch

If Block 1 is complete why is it taking until 1st April to send "burofax". Is this to allow time for the licence to be granted?

At this moment in time they do not have the fit for occupancy licence for block 6 but they are expecting this very soon.  On presentation of the burofax to buyers you are legally bound to complete within two months, hence, if you need a mortgage you have enough warning to sort this out.  They seem to have everything geared up for the 1st April, this will probably give them some flexibility to perform works if the building requires attention before the licence is granted.
