A few people have asked me about phones, electricity etc.
The Spanish Telephone and Electricity companies have made it easy for us to speak to them in English
If you want to find out if phones are available in an area e.g. DV from any phone dial 1004 (freephone) and ask for an English operator, if you listen to the message they tell you what to do in English.
Tel: 1004 (only from phones in Spain; say "English" at the prompts to be connected to an English-speaking operator)

Electricity
The Website is www.endesaonline.com, but the information is in Spanish.
For information by phone, call (national) 902 509 509. Here you can ask to speak to an English-speaking call assistant, who will be able to deal with your enquiry. Like all automated call centres, you are sometimes left waiting for a while before connecting to a human voice, but normally this is only a few minutes.
There is a water company office in the main street in Manilva used to be called AguaSur, not sure if they speak English.
