Has anyone else had this problem.  Be careful, both of our internal door locks on the main bedroom door and the shower room have become jammed when the door is shut and the lock turned.  I have not been involved myself but apparently what happens is that the latch gets stuck closed and doesn't move when you move the handle.  I am not sure if its the normal door latch or the lock but basically the mechanism inside the lock fails and you are stuck inside the room.  Not so much of a problem if you are in the bedroom because you can get out through the patio but a bit more of a problem if you are in the shower room.

Steve

Not had any of these Steve , but thanks for the warning. Is it a case of lubricating locks with WD40 do you think?

dont think so.  I am told the whole mechanism inside the handle/lock just comes apart so pulling the handle does not retract the latch.  maybe superglue is the answer!!!

Andrew C,

Thanks for the information. Did the developer replace the locks on all the internal doors or just the 2 that have the extra locking mechanism?
