Paying Spanish taxes

my partner is thinking of buying here but we are getting bad vibes from several messages.

Can anyone advise?

Hi we are buying a 2 bed 2 bath in portal 5 and have paid our deposit and are now sat patiently waiting for completion.

What bad vibes are you getting?

Mainly the messages by Jima and Liousa saying you get asked for extra cash after agreeing deposit. It seems a bit strange if everything is  not up front. I wonder if there are any other costs that sunset do not mention.

You hear so many stories about people buying abroad.

Still thinking it over though. It looks very nice town on all websites we have visited.

 We are waiting to complete in phase 1 and are wanting to make sure that everyrhing including the electricity is connected.Have heard from the mortgage advisor at Langtons that our deposit will be lost if we don't complete by Xmas.First we have heard of this threat. Anybody else heard anything?

We completed on the 6th September and still dont have electricity.
