Hi everyone,
We bought a California back in March 2006 and were given a date of September 2007 for completion.
We did not mind the delay's in completion at first as you do expect this and we felt the development was definatley worth waiting for. We sold our house here in England in June this year and are renting just waiting for the completion of the house in spain as we plan on moving out permanent. Eeach time we visit La Tercia we are given different completion dates. We were told December 2007, then March 2008 then May to June 2008 and now December 2008. I am starting to lose all faith in this development but we have our hearts set on going to live there. Our concern is that people will get fed up of waiting and start asking for their money back.
Just wondered how other people felt.
Michelle and David Cole.

Hi Michelle & David,
Delays can be upsetting, but as you say, it's expected in Spain! I'm not moving out initially, so my situation is different, but certainly won't be pulling out. Nothing's changed about the development and the builder has a good reputation for quality, it's a lovely area...and so on...

hi All
I have bought at Corvera Golf and we have been waiting for the Phase 1 & 2 building licence for around 20 months and we're still waiting patiently, its seems to be always just around the corner ( I bought in Nov 05 many people bought earlier). I am trying to find out if the delays are accross the Murcia area for new developments or has it just hit us, would you mind giving me feed back on how long you've been waiting,(and are you aware of any other developments that have been waiting) it would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone
We have just returned from La Tercia to also be told that the latest completion is December 2008. You can definately see the progress since our last vsit in August with drains and electricity laid on to each plot now. We were told that foundations should begin this month and they have already removed a lot of top soil. The wait we feel will definately be worth it as it will just be a holiday home for us to begin with. Good news - the main road to La Tercia has new tarmac. There are also new flags along this approach road for a new proposed golf complex called Los Granados before you reach United Golf!

Kev,
Yes, we've been waiting quite a while for the license, to me it seems that Murcia council is holding back developments, maybe because of water shortages. As you say, it's always 'round the corner'. Still, as Martin & Lis say, it'll be worth the wait...
By the way Martin & Lis, have just sent you an e-mail about Coventry...

What a shame there is yet another development being build nr us now. Thought enough with UGR and others really. Let's hope they don't build on all the olive trees and orange groves as that is one thing we liked in Oct 05.

We are purchasing on LTR. When we visited recently we were told building would start in December. Does anyone know if it has started? We are getting rather concerned now by several changes to start and completion dates.

Welcome to the forum, Spicegirl. Sorry, don't know if building has started, but as many are saying after returning from LTR, there is a lot of activity on site.
Which plot have you purchased? And which Spicegirl are you? ;-)

Hi Andy,
We have purchased on R, but hubby is making a lot of noise about getting our money back, he says the delays are going on too long now.
