Hi all,

I flew into Granada from Liverpool on 21st November and visited site that day. It was raining so I limited my visit to viewing our 2 bed town house, 3 bed show town house and show apartment. I have uploaded a selection of photo's of the 2 bed and 3 bed town houses that show how they are progressing, particularly the walls and flooring etc. and the final finishes as seen in the show town house. I have uploaded a picture of the upper landing detail at sun terrace level of the 2 bed town house and the stairs from 2nd to 1st floor and from 1st to ground floor. The bathroom and kitchen are tiled but awaiting bathroom/kitchen units to be fitted. Inner doors have still to be fitted. The wiring seems to be installed but awaiting final connection to light fittings and electrical sockets etc. I was shown around by a spanish lady site rep. and she was able to show me drawing layout proposals for the commercial centre that she has since emailed a copy to me. Contact me if you would like a copy. I stayed with relatives near Belas Malaga and returned on Friday 23rd from Malaga to Newcastle. I have since been informed that Granada Airport was Fog-bound on Saturday 24th November and Flights were diverted to Almeria, so be aware during future winter visits. I noted that the works on the site adjacent to Balcones are now progressing quickly. My next visit will be Easter week with our family of four to visit the site, stay with relatives near Belas Malaga and start looking around and planning for furniture etc.

When we were on-site I saw the way the shutters are fixed to the patio doors (poolside) and was not impressed.

There are no shutters on the kitchen door and only low level railings to the outside. When the patio shutters are open you will not be able to gat out of the kitchen door.

Why weren't the shutters fixed to the outer wall thus improving security and function

We picked up on this as well and were thinking of converting them into sliding gates/shutters but thisstill leaves the kitchen door without security.

Having them by the railings sounds like a better idea. if it is  possible but how do we go about convincing Rudina?

we too share your concerns and told pepe so when we were on site in october. we asked  him then if our shutters could be fixed to the outside railings  as we felt at the moment there is a major problem with both security and design as they make that outside space impossible to use. he would not do it but said once we were in it was up to us to propose it the the community but we would all have to incur the costs of the alterations which we are not happy about.
