we asked that question while we were there over Christmas and New Year, didn't get an answer.  They must have been uprooted between 12 - 22nd December as our friends who live there said they were still growing when they left on 12 Dec  but they were definitely lying on their sides when we got there on 22nd.  Can't believe that there would be another development, the local council, and mayors are all very anti any more developments. There was a rumour last year that they were thinking of a by-pass type of road plan to take through traffic away from the narrow road by the Church, as with all things Spanish, que sera sera.

I think  yout may be correct about the By-pass, there have been some plans for it for quite a while, I saw them once at a council meeting at the bar at SDR, if it is these same plans then it will stop traffis charging up that middle road like it does sometimes and make SDR a safer place.

Have just returned form Roda, and noticed tractor in the field where the orange grove used to be.  They seem to be preparing it for planting, with ridges and irrigation, but no signs as to what will be grown
