Hi David,
I was flabbergasted by your post. I mean the bridge is there and if anything misses it is a direct way to DJ from the Fuengirola direction. Could it be that you're thinking about drving on the wrong side of the road :)

Hi Max!
OK I was thinking of driving on the left! so yes I can see that I can come off the A-7 and drive over a bridge to the roundabout at the top of the road that leads to Don Juan. But now please look at how we get back to the airport. I cross over the A-7 as before but when I get to the junction can I cross back over to the right hand side to go towards Malaga?

Hi There,
I've often used the road past El Higeron from the motorway as its a back way into Mijas.
If you wish to go in the direction of Malaga you drive past El Higeron and the road actually goes under the motorway where you will meet a roundabout.
You just turn left at the roundabout which is the sliproad up to the motorway in the direction of Malaga.
I hope this helps.

Hi all
Does anyone know yet if we will still be able to use the road beside the railway to access the coast road N340, once we complete. I have asked my solicitor to have an agreement drawn up before completion that this road will be completed by the developer within a set time.

Hi all,
Just to wet your appetites I have uploaded some more pics of the site, it’s looking like the long wait has been worthwhile.
I have also included some pics of the road that runs up from the railway tunnel. You can tell the size of the proposed development, this is only the ornate entrance!!
Most of the roads are in with drains, curbs and lighting already in place.

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the new pictures - but I am mystified by the "bunkers" shown in photos 1 & 2, can you throw any further light on what their purpose is?
Also where is the roundabout shown in photo 6 located?
Regards

Hi davmunster,
I assume they are what you say, maybe they will be just planted. They have marble tiling so they are expensive plant pots. I think this is a sign of the proposed quality of the development. This will be good for our area.
The roundabout is over the brow of the hill up the road from the railway tunnel and it will connect to the existing developments that run up to the 'temple'. It will also connect to the new road at the back of DJ.

To clarify these pictures: what you see there is the entrance to the huge Higueros development. Some of it is already built and includes a restaurant, a spa, a country club et.
These 'bunkers' are indeed for plants. At the other side of this development (at the A7 side) the entrance looks identical. It will be a private road and will be guarded.

Hi Gericom,
It's not very informative about the whole project. Just like our Arrohabitatge didn't volunteer the existence of DJ II and III, they don't advertise the fact how big the development will be. Being the inquisitve kind of guy I found out that they expect to realize at least 1200 houses (actually a mixture of townhouses, villas, apartments). Developers seem to downplay their plans to suggest 'exclusive offers'.

Hi Gericomm 99
The only help that I can give you is that it must be very close to the big restaurant (Helguaira-May have name comppletely wrong) on the A-7 motorway. From Don Juan you can see it if you look up to the motorway. Max should be able to give you a better idea, as he is living there. I know you are going oover soon, what date do you come home. We are going over on the 25th of August.

Hi Gericom,
Coming from the Malaga direction take exit 217 (direction Mijas/Benálmadena). Take the A368 for a few hundred meters until you see a petrol station at the left. Take the road at the left (the main road will turn to the right).
At the first roundabout take the second exit, you will cross the A7 and come at a second roundabout where you go straight on. There were roadblocks last time we were there; if they’re still there just pass them. Follow the road until the next roundabout and again go straight on there on the much smaller road. Now follow this temporary road up to Don Juan.
If you happen to come from Fuengirola, take the A7 in the direction of Malaga. Leave it at the Benalmadena exit (217). On the roundabout at a petrol station go almost round and take the Algeciras exit. You’ll go beneath the A7 and arrive at the A368 mentioned in the Malaga description. Follow the instructions above from there.
