1 bed apartment wanted Manilva/Duquesa area

hi everyone,

just letting you know i completed on thursday 24th and have been very busy here.   Not yet seen anybody around so i´m guessing none of you are out here.

Completion went through ok and we are very happy with the apartment for the moment.  The electricity and water is connected and we have had our clean done yesterday.  We are awaiting the furniture on Wednesday and will be flying back on thursday, hopefully with everything done and ready to come back.

Snagging seems quite straight forward at the moment and our apartment doesn´t seem to have much wrong.  The odd scratch, dent in fridge door and as a few have already said, the iron gates rusting a little and need a re-vamp.  The pools are being filled and filtered at the moment so should´n´t be long before they are looking good too.

On the whole, everything looks good.  I´ll post some pictures when i get back thursday and any more information

Congrats !!!

We are over here as well although today is our last day - meet up for a cofee/drink later ?? I'll check in later and hope you get this message.

We have been flying past Areanal dozens of times over the last week - the old place is looking great - we sometimes think people are staying as there are some lights on. The gardens are so much more mature now.

I say "old place" because we have just bought this week on Coto Real Duquesa Golf, which is just a couple of hundred metres up from Arenal on the same road.

We gave Arenal every chance, you know the story, even advertising for an apartment, but to no avail.

Anyone who has bought on Arenal at up to €220K is doing OK - any less than that and you are flying. The rest of you guys who paid €180K dry yer eyes and stop whinging. You are almost there.

We spent a week looking at a whole pile of developments and I can tell you € for € Arenal is better than almost anything going - the finish and spec on Arenal is top notch, trust me.

I know I promised to do a comparison but we have been so busy doing, well, lots and lots of things, I didn't get a chance.

Congratulations Suzanne. I'm very pleased for you. How does it feel? We were still dead chuffed with the apartment when we viewed it last week. It's been a long slog, and at times it's felt decidedly dodgy staying on board. But that was down to the way we've been dealt with by the men (and women) in suits. It seems that the guys on the front line - the architects and builders - have done their jobs really well. And I'm hoping that, ultimately, that's what will make this development a long-term success. I'm just wondering, how many people are there out there who are still on board? Margo

Would love to meet up with you for a drink and chat if possible, staying in dona luisa, enjoyed watching your progress over the last year and a half, just plucked up courage to join forum.
