Giving up residency

Hi All. We are about to complete on our property and will have a Euro mortgage with payments coming out of a Euro bank account held in Spain. We will need to transfer money  into the account for the  mortgage payments but dont want to get charged for each transaction. Does anyone have any advice what to do ? What do others do in this situation ? Is it best to buy a lump sum of Euros to leave in the account or open a Euro account in England ? Please help !  Many thanks.

hi we use halifax as you dont get charged for each transfer.
buying euros just now is nightmare - price of £ dropped over last year.

Open an account with HIFX., the rates are usually good and they don't charge for the transfer.

 

With regards to HIFX they are VERY good, you can fix a rate for the future or you can take a gamble and pay each month automatically at the rate of today. A sunday times survey some time ago put hem at the top with a bank that has a black horse for its logo failing at the start gate!! It is also so very easy to set this up, they make the whole process kids play.

We have also positive experiences with HIFX.
