Do you use a debit card?
If so you can use it in the CAM bank in the village. Even when the bank is closed, all you have to do is put your card in the slot of the door, which will then open. Once inside you can use the ATM. Just follow the instructions - in English.
We always use this method, never use £ or travellers cheques. We also get a good rate of exchange too.
