Is it only me that's just not getting the right understanding?!?!?!  I thought the licences that were approved in the middle of March were the final ones so that building work is starting.  I am going to phone Jane again tomorrow to see what c**p she will tell me this time.  I will let you know in due course.

Hi Tracy & Steve,

I have posted on another thread, but basically Campos del Rio approved the plans which have now been resubmitted to the Murcia Regional Council. Initally the plans were not approved by MUrcia and had to be amended, which they have been. The approval on 13th March was from Campos del rio. They are basically now waiting for Murcia to approve them, which according to sources will be pretty soon. It will be published in the BORM when they are approved. Only then can a building licence be granted.

Regards

Jackie

Thanks for this Jackie,

I received an email reply from Jane and she said pretty much the same.  She said that although the "approval has been given" TH have not received it yet.

We will, as ever, carry on waiting!

Yes have a look in the BORM (Official Bulletin of Murcia Region (B.O.R.M)) which will be the official updated version for all the approved documents etc. Best to look at independant sources rather than just rely on TH staff alone.

Regards,

Jackie

Guys,

Just came back from TH. As promised i took a few photos and you can find the link here below.

It seems to me they are preparing/digging for the foundations. This is the only current activity but at least there is some activity going on.

They told me the the actual building work will start begin next week. Hopefully this is going to happen. They also told me that phase 1 alone will take about a year, which tells me that this helft probably will take about 3 to 4 years to finish.

Have just got back from Murcia. As Bjorn has said, there are just a dozen or so holes in the ground by the office block. This is where phase 1 will start. Anyone (like myself) who had taken pictures of the nice scale model layout 2 years ago and was trying to work out where the building work was starting wont find it. The plan has had to be altered(this is one of the reasons that it has been taking so long). The local government in Campos del Rio were not happy with the road layout(there are @2500 dwellings at TH and they are nearly all sold) and in an emergency, they said the road layout was inadequate so roads have had to be moved, widened, lengthened etc. All the licences have been granted but as a legal formaliity, TH have to put a notice in the local paper(just as we have to do in the UK) to say that building work is proposed and anyone who wishes to object can do so(if they have a valid reason not to build). The residents of Campos del Rio are very happy for Trampolin Hills to go ahead as it will bring prosperity to the region so this is just a formality. Gemma(who we spoke to) is confident that work will progress in 2-3 weeks. Antonio has employed a security company this week as materials are to begin arriving on site and he doesn't want it being nicked.

As all the licences are in place, it means that ALL services will be in place(ie.  no reliance on builders power supply when the property is complete).

We were told that Antonio will be laying the first brick in a ceremony planned for some time late April so this should make the TH website.

I took a lot of pictures but it was on saw 1's camera so I need to get hold of them before I can put them on(couple of days).

So, this is all good news.

Hope others are going over when Antonio places the first brick.

Griff.

Hi Griffin,

Great news indeed!

However, I'm not so sure that you are correct, when you say that all the licences are in place and that there will be no reliance on builders power supply when our properties are complete. I would imagine that this practice is quite the norm in Spain right now!

When the properties are finished a Habitational Licence will then be required before we can engage services and of course draw down a mortgage. Without this licence I'm afraid that the builders power supply may well be needed for those of us who wish to complete the purchase prior to the granting of this licence. This is a very contentious point with our Promoter. A few of our friends at El Trampolin can fill you in a little better that I can, as many of them find themselves in this very situation!

I think it's best that we keep everything in perspective and don't jump into the deep end too soon. I seems to me that when we make a purchase of a property in our home country that no problems whatsoever exist................. but that would be further from the truth. Problems exist everywhere, from planning applications right down to colour selection, but we appear to be better informed and well sheltered on a need to know basis. Unfortunately, the Spanish are not as informative as we would expect and hence the dread and fear, that we have all made a terrible mistake. I have little doubt that our homes will be built, but I am a realist and know that patience is required in bucket loads.

Keep the faith!
