The following information may assist you if you notice that your direct debit for your water supply has not been claimed.

Our Bank Account was last debited on the 19th January for our water bill, which meantt hat I was expecting a further bill on the 19th March. This has not materialised so I contacted Codeur in case there was a problem with claiming the payment.

In my best O Level Spanish (30 years ago!) I sent an email at 1.15pm this afternoon.

By 3.15pm I had the following reply -

The delay in the sending of the charge to the Bank is something common with all users. In the next few days, we will send it to your Bank. Do not be concerned because all is correct with your contract. If you need some other information, do not hesitate to contact us.

What a fabulous demonstration of customer service.

Having been told by Key Mare today -  "just because we don't respond to emails, doesn't mean we aren't dealing with snags" - I would suggest that there are some clear lessons to be learned.

We need to be reassured that Keymare are reacting and no reply does not give confidence,therefore they need training in communication skills

If what they are stating is true ,they are doing themselves no favours and are creating frustration.Commercial companies have learnt that lesson the hard way .

I need contact details for Codeur.My language lessons at schools,I am afraid included French, O LEVELS are they the same as GCSEs?

O levels were taken at age 16 the same as GCSE's - There the similarity ends!

I have finally been added to the Codeur customer base, some 3 months after the details were sent to Key Mare and not passed on it would seem. I have been in contact with Joaquín López (jlopez@codeur.es) who is English speaking and reasonably efficient. Again, the lack of response can sometimes be a bit annoying and a second mail usually does the trick .

It looks like whatever Codeur's problem was, has been sorted. The payment has been debited from our account today.

Just to resurrect this thread for any new users. Our direct debit has finally been claimed today, we completed in December!! This is the first payment of about €200, which I assume is connection, not sure about usage for the last 6 months. It pays to keep on top of them and keep pushing. I have been emasiling once per week for the last 2 months to get this result.

We completed in November and have had two quarterly payments taken out in Jan and April but no connection charge.   Today they have eventually taken out 207.15 euros which I presume is connection and further charge ( no receipt issued on line at present to  check.)

Our Connection fee back in November was 202.36 euros.

The payments are normally taken every 2 months but as detailed below, there was a glitch somewhere in March which meant payments were a month late. I didn't have a payment taken in May so I assume that they are now back to 2 monthly payments & expect the next payment to be taken in about 10 days time.
