Linda and Fran and their three small children arrived on Saturday afternoon (see previous thread) to find there was no water in their apartment. They were last here in November and again, there was no water. That time, there was a problem with the water pump which took about five or six days to have remedied. On arrival a few days ago they telephoned Caroline at the emergency number (bank holiday weekend here) and were told they would have to wait until she arrived at the office at 10 am today, Monday. So, no water for the weekend...... Today Oscar is with them trying to sort out the problem which may relate to the water meter. The meters were installed and activated in mid December. Linda and Fran have a water account already set up so we cannot see what the problem might be. Oscar suggested that their meter might be incorrectly attached to someone else's apartment. Oh joy.
Whatever the root problem, please if you are coming out and have not been here since the meters were activated, do check beforehand that there is running water in your apartment. The office has a master key, so unless you have changed your locks someone from the office should be able to get in and turn on a tap.
I will update once we know what the problem is.
