Hello folks,

Well here I am nearly two weeks into the start of my new life, and I know Ive made the right decision. At the moment I feel a bit like Billy no mates as I am the only one staying here out of the four blocks that surround my pool.last week four appartments were occupied.

The last two blocks to be finished are well on the way to completion.their cranes were dismanteled yesterday and work has begun to clear rubble and leveling the ground, while inside I can see painters and fixers working hard (it is7.30 pm uk time and heavy earth moving vehicles and bulldozers are still moving about in the hacienda area,I can see the pigeon loft area from my balcony)

It has rained constantly all day today,at times quite heavily, its light to moderate at the moment. The greens are looking beautiful, lush and green but some of the communial areas will welcome this sort of weather, even though Polaris have the srinkler hoses on every day for long periods.

As stated by my son Nic in a previous letter he drove my car down for me  from Santander,This meant I could bring a lot of my personal items with me,especially my guitars and electrical items.Having the car here is best thing Nic and I could have done,I am out and about every day either shopping or just discovering the area.Im pleased to tell you the shuttle bus is up and running with six excursions a day to La Torre starting at 08.50 till 23.30. Last bus back from La Torre 24.00.according to the supplied time table.

Regarding the Hacienda Resort, I cannot fault it, I know the town centre is probably a year from completion, but you only have to look at La Torre and Mar menor to know it will be something special.I have visited both on numerous occasions and I honestly beleive that Hacienda Riquelme will be the best for that allround feel good factor, with its wide open spaces, beautiful views of the golf course and fantasic swimming pools, for every one,Where as both La Torre and Mar Menor have limited properties that have views of the golf courses and far fewer communial swimming pools,Hacienda Riquelme has surpassed all my expectations in every aspect Im pleased to say.

LENNIE
