Health regulations and customer service issues (disgusted with service from Tapindo)

Has anyone used Resorthoppa.com from Almeria airport to Al Andalus Thalassa?

Are they reliable/punctual?

Do they drop you/pick you up from the complex itself?

I haven't used them myself but I do understand that they drop off & pick up at whatever location is required.

On the occasions that I have looked at their site, the shuttle bus option has cost £22.50 return which seems very reasonable. They pick you up 1hr 30 minutes before the start of your 2 hour check in slot, so that appears to leave sufficient time but that does depend on their reliability & punctuality.

I was going to try them out on the 13th June when I travel over on my own for the community meeting but I have since been able to cadge a lift, so don't need to use them.

My guests used it several weeks ago and it was fine, although DO ask the driver to confirm the pick up point and time before you get off the coach on the inbound journey!    Also get someone in the UK to ring their office and confirm your pickup too a day or so before you are due to come back.   It might be a good idea to ask what happens if their driver doesn't drop you off with sufficient time to check in and the gate is closed or is closing - if they have some sort of indemnity so that they are not liable for any costs you incur in missing your flight or having to use a taxi because you were not picked up, then it may not be worth the saving!

Used them in June. Vert punctual. Word of warning though the office speak very little English and we had to get a Spanish speaking friend to get confirmation that they would be taking us back to the airport

They were used at the end of August/early September.   Airport transfer was punctual ie shuttle was waiting on arrival at airport.  Return journey not so good, they were over half hour late and still had 2 more pick ups to do.  The driver also stopped for re-fueling and a toilet break.    Within 10 mins of our arrival at airport check-in was closed, our guests had to race across the terminal.   Not sure about the other passengers as they were on different flights.

As Sue says, I would check their small print to find out what happens if you do miss the check-in because of them.

It is highly unlikely that any transfer company will compensate for missed flights other than a refund of the fare (if you are lucky).

Not much comfort if they are responsible for you missing your flight, but many travel insurance policies will cover for missed flights when using public transport.

Few, if any, will cover if your journey was made by a private or rental car.

Always ensure that you have adequate travel insurance and for those who rent their properties, it is advisable for many reasons, to insist that your guests have insurance and provide you with details when they book.

The protection and peace of mind of having cover is worth the small cost. There are some really cheap deals out there, use a 'screenscraper'  to find the best deal.

We used the shuttle, just for the return journet end of July.

The bus was 20 minutes early waiting outside the main entrance, and as their were no other pick ups we had a direct journey to the airport. We have now booked  for September
