Ok so heres the deal; my sister is on holiday in the Algarve and has decided to make use of a day trip to Seville so that we can meet up there since its a good halfway point between where I live and her holiday hotel.
This being Seville in the late Spring, the temperatures are going to be edging up towards the 30C mark and I have no great desire to be tramping the streets for four hours or so, so I thought I would investigate a boat trip on the Guadalquivir. Checking on the net I found this... Seems to be the answer and a pleasant way of spending an hour with a cooling breeze to take the edge off the mid afternoon sun; but...
My first reaction was 'That looks expensive...£69 or 79 euros for a one hour trip...' and expensive it is when you look at the exclusions...seems the price does not include the river trip itself, nor any drinks, nor transport to the point of embarkation. What it does include is 'the service of a tour guide'
Now I'm well used to being ripped off but doesnt it seem a litle odd that a tour company can offer a boat trip but not include the boat trip in its costings?
We will make our own way to the embarkation point and pay the 16 Euros fare for the trip and Viator can go float...or not as the case may be! I contacted Viator about the high costing and they have so far declined to answer!
