We´ve just spent four days in this beatiful city and would put this on your list of places to see before you die!

We stayed near the Alhambra in a pretty good hotel (very noisy plumbing though) and left the car in the car park for the duration. They have a fantastic bus system all around the town and it´s cheap, cheap, cheap.

We took the tour bus, we walked, we saw some lovely old buildings and enjoyed the science park. We didn´t have one single meal while we were there though. Why do you ask? Well with every drink you buy in Granada you get a free tapa, so we just had to keep buying drinks.

The Alhambra is stunning, as are the grounds, the Cathedral is beautiful, the city is clean, vibrant and very, very welcoming to tourists. We got plenty of opportunity to practice our Spanish.

You´ve just gotta go there!!!!!

Irene & Alan

You can't ask for a much better advert than that!!  If you are staying in Granada, I would recommend a Tapa Tour, if you Google Granada Tapas Tours the result of that name is an excellent choice, they tailer the tour to your requirements and take you to places you would probably never find on your own. I went with my former wife a couple of years ago, and it was excellent.

We go to Granada quite a lot.  It's one of our favourite cities.  We just love the feel and the vibe of the place.

There is also a, not very often discussed, science park which is excellent for a day out with the kids, especially when the weather is bad.

Great city.  We must go up there again very soon.

Justin

The road up from Motril to Granada is spectacular, and it's well worth visiting the villages of the Alpujarras if you get the chance.

I would recommend visiting:

Trevelez, Bubion, Campaneira, Orgiva.

If you are feeling energetic, why not try climbing Mulhacen, the highest mountain on the Iberian penisula.

Start early.

Have to agree, thoroughly enjoyed Granada and the Alhambra is a spectacle you shouldn't miss.

Cheap transport, plenty of tapas and friendly people, we'll definitely go again, take in the Space Park too.

There must be other cities and attractions, we have been to Toledo, but that was by train and spent much of the time winding round and round the hill it's built on.... it was a party from the office so I can really recall much!!
