Might this petition also be used as an effective tool to address the compromising delays within the justice system and thereby also bring attention to an overloaded system that is inhibiting the enforcement of justice in Spain? If planning laws are to be changed and implemented then it is essential to have an effective justice system in place to enforce the law. Surely the two are intertwined?
If this became an integral part of the remit of this petition then ALL those struggling to gain justice in Spain would be well advised to sign the petition.
As Ruth has suggested, trust will only be restored once Spain demonstrates its respect for its own laws and that includes the timely enforcement of law.

Hi,
The latest version of the text covers quite a few bases.
However, it is all a bit academic if the number of people signing remains in the hundreds.
The current number of signatures is likely to convince the government that they have nothing to worry about if only 900 odd people think that the issues should at least be discussed.
So... please sign the petition everyone.....
On a positive note I can see Spanish names coming through even though AVAAZ has yet to load the Spanish version of the petition.

This is a common cause for Spanish and foreign nationals alike.
How many members does EOS have now?
Let's make this work to the benefit of all citizens and sign the petition.

Are law firms networking and bringing this petition to the attention of their clients?

- How many years have you been waiting for a PGOU (town plan) to be approved by the regional government?
- How many houses have been legalised where you live?
- How many days since the local elections and all those promises? 489
- Still waiting for your court case to be heard?
- Still waiting for compensation?
Over 1,200 people have now signed this petition. We need more to be effective.

General Update
We have provided AVAAZ with Spanish, German and French language versions of the petition and are waiting with fingers crossed for them to be loaded. It is taking much longer than anticipated but we remain hopeful.
We see the Spanish version as key to driving the petition forward as we know from our contact with Spanish associations that many Spanish nationals are also impacted by inadequate controls, delays in the legal system, corruption etc. Not to mention the additional strains that this issue places on an already beleagured property market.
In the meantime, keep signing and tell your friends to do the same.
