Tenancy Deposits
The Comments |
Open minded about moving to somewhere local I browse the classifieds. The rents are reasonable - and tempting. Problem, in each case a substantial deposit is required so no deal.
One at a rent of €425 requires a deposit of €850. Breath-taking and in my experience you are at an agent or owner’s mercy when you do decide to move on. On just one occasion I paid a deposit and yes, you guessed it, I was scammed.

Is this 850€ including the first month or plus?
Are you having to give a total of 1300€?

sounds a bit steep but then the bad tenants have probably ruined it for the good as is the case in most things
